    • Bad lock
The lock failed after just a few tries, even before I had it set up. It was jamming from the start, then completely failed and couldn't hold the door closed. Total proof that you get what you pay for.

    • Modifications required!!!
Please understand....I did not use this case to contain a gun...I'm using this lockbox to keep candy out of kids access. I received the lockbox, and using the key to open the swing door...the door would jam...would not open. Apparently the locking latch that holds the door (even when unlocked) would slightly catch the door as it is opening. I wound up getting a Dremel tool and grinding down the tip of the latch where it was dragging across the bar on the door. Once I did that the door opens w/o obstructions. The alarm on this item is INSANELY LOUD! Three wrong codes it goes off for 1 minute...very deafening. However, if you open the door and pull the two hex screws at the top, it will release the board that has the siren. The siren (thank god) is connected w/ a connector that can be pulled out. If this could not have been silenced it would have been returned. Fingerprint reader is better than I expected. Codes can be 3-7 numbers. Overall once the modifications were done this box is acceptable for my needs ... show more
