After much research including research on Amazons mattress return policy I went ahead and ordered this mattress. My expectations were very high due to the price. My wife and I both like the mattress. It was not life-changing as many reviews had mentioned. In the end I was just not satisfied with over $5000 for a big piece of foam. We were able to find a clearance Center, Tempur-pedic mattress a little bit lower grade for $1100. It has been nearly 2 months since we submitted for the return and still have not received the credit from Amazon. We are avid Amazon shoppers and have enjoyed their return policy for many years without any issues. We will never again make a large purchase from Amazon as this has been a totally different experience. ... show more

    • Mattress is high quality but not really firm
About 7 years ago, for a few months I slept on a Tempur Pedic memory foam mattress that was probably made 15 years ago......it was the firmest memory foam mattress I've ever slept on and I loved it. I purchased this one thinking it would be firm like that mattress. It is not, in fact its not any firmer than the mattress I was using currently. I am returning this mattress and buying the Tempur Adapt Pro firm, which I found in a store so I could actually test it before ordering, and it is nice and firm like I remembered the old mattress to be. So, if you are expecting a really firm mattress, don't order this one unless you can test one out somewhere first to make sure it's what you want. Now bear in mind that the firmness I was expecting this to be, many people call hard as a rock, one reviewer said that the Pro Adapt firm which I like was no better than sleeping on his floor.....so if you like more traditional memory foam mattresses, this MAY be firm enough for you, but I was disappointed with it. ... show more

We are both over 200 pounds. The only option for memory foam and heavier people is Tempurpedic. Either Tempurpedic or buy a mattress every year or two as we've being doing for years... The mattress still firm, considering that it has 4.72 inches of comfort material. You might sink more than you'd like if you're over 200lb. I think this mattress is best suited for people who weigh 180lb or less, and still like a firm mattress. For people like us the best option would be the pro-adapt, which has 3.15 inches of comfort material and a taller support core vs the luxe. Regardless, very comfortable mattress. You can't go wrong with Tempurpedic if you love memory foam. ... show more

Terrible. . My wife and I bought a King mattress and spent thousands of dollars on it, we were told it was a 25 year warranty. It started sagging and we can no longer use it and my warranty claim (that took like 2 hours to do) was denied. It's sagging so bad we can't even sleep on it. I've been sleeping on my couch cause it kills my back to sleep on the sagging Tempur-Pedic mattress. They said it was denied cause there were stains on it. What does that have to do with the mattress sagging so bad I can't even use it? We keep a mattress cover on it and it's been our bed in our bedroom since we bought it, not damaged or improperly stored etc. don't waste your money, buy from a company that stands by their stuff and replaces defective products. Tempur-Pedic will leave you hanging. I'll never buy from Tempur-Pedic again and never recommend them to anyone. I'll also find any way I can to express my frustration cause I feel we were wronged by them. ... show more

I absolutely hate this mattress. I loved my old Tempur-Pedic cloud supreme. It was perfect! I was told that this was comparable but it's nothing like my old mattress. It's so hot and though it does compress a lot, once it does, it feels very firm and nothing like the mattress that I laid on at the store. I was convinced that it was just part of the break-in. I did not buy my LuxeAdapt firm from Amazon, but i had to just add my two cents, because this is a fabulous mattress. It is not however for everyone. I agree with the reviewer who said these mattresses are best for people who way around 180 or less. But if this works for you, the LuxeAdapt firm (I don't know if the soft is supportive enough TBH but the firm is awesome --and more like a medium) is a phenomenal mattress. My old mattress (Stearns & Foster by Kirkland Signature) was approaching 18 years, and it was starting to sag. After a few months of going to the TempurPedic and Mattress Firm stores to lay on as many as possible, I narrowed it down to TempurPedic; either the LuxeAdapt Soft, or the LuxeBreeze Soft. The LuxeBreeze Soft is a bit more firm than the LuxeAdapt Soft (different top layer materials), and I ultimately decided on the LuxeAdapt Soft because I sleep mostly on my side, and could feel more pressure relief in my shoulders when I tried them in the store. The first 2 nights on the mattress made my lower back slightly sore, but after walking on the mattress a few nights (break-in tips I found on reddit), the foam loosened up and I am sleeping better than I have in many years. I am really glad that I chose this mattress, and it's also $1k cheaper than the LuxeBreeze. I also purchased the Ergo Extend power base, but have not really used the position functions. The SleepTracker AI has been giving me some pretty insightful data on my sleep cycles, though! I'll need more time to evaluate the power base. ... show more
