This ladder appeals to me. It's telescoping aspect intrigues me and makes it simple to stretch and contract. It is not as strong as a standard ladder. It works beautifully on stable surfaces, such as my driveway, working against the side of my house. However, I attempted to use it to climb a tree and found that it did not seem as stable as I would have liked due to the uneven ground base and uneven tree surface. The upper frame becomes narrower and less substantial as the ladder rises and telescopes. Instead, I utilized a more traditional, more sturdy ladder. However, I am pleased with this buy.

UPDATE: I updated a review with one more photo of my husband using the ladder at my in law house to help them install the camera outside. For your reference, my husband is 5'11, over 210lbs My FIL often travel back and forth between AL and MA to fix our restaurant and all our rental properties, therefore he wanted me to help him pick out a ladder that he can travel with, so I picked this ladder. This ladder just arrived today and fortunately my FIL picked up my older kid from school today so we had a chance to unpack this freshly delivered order together. It fits perfectly in the back of his Honda Pilot. It's very heavy, wellmade, and the ability to extend from the length of a kid chair to 12ft is awesome. It did take us quite a bit to figure out the best way to extend the ladder but once we got a hang of it, it feels very easy. However, I must remind you that we are getting this because of its compact and travel-able so it is important to understand that the ladder won't be just open and fold in a snap like a regular ladder. I will try to update my review with a video how to use this ladder. Needless to say, my FIL is happy with the ladder and I am relieved that my first pick isn't a bad choice.

This ladder is pretty neat. It sits at about 4 feet when not in use but when needed can extend to over 12 feet. It comes with gloves to protect your hands and a neat bag to easily store it or transport it. I am an average sized woman and have no problems using this ladder. I love that I can just extend it as much as needed up to 12ft. It's coming with me to my seasonal camping spot. It is perfect there because I dont have a lot of extra space so the fact that it shrinks down to 1/4 of its size I can store it much easier. It has some weight to it but its not overly heavy. It seems to be well made and sturdy. I have used it on a few different occasions and it has never let me down. The 1st time I used it I was unfamiliar with how to lock and unlock it and it closed on my finger. I have never made that mistake again. This ladder was well worth the cost.

Nice con pack ladder but in soft dirt you needed a long 10 inch of plywood to keep it from shinking in the sod in front. No stabilizer arm adtachment addable to work on gutters. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ALOT OF SPACE TO STORE THIS UNIT ITS GOOD

Easy to store, easy to use. The only thing you need to be aware of is to keep hands clear of steps when retracting the steps. Not a design flaw but an operator issue. Use it properly and it will serve well. I weight roughly 275 pounds and had no issues doing work on RV roof or pruning trees.

Great exterior design ladder, It does not take up space. The height can be adjusted individually. It's very stable and safe to stand on. compresses nicely that saves a lot of space when not in use. and light weight, it is easy to transport from place to place. It opens and closes smoothly, quickly. just be careful of fingers when retracting.
