Description
Tekton 6-point sockets are ideal for working with hex-shaped fasteners. They're designed to grip the sides and not the corners of the fastener heads, which prevents round-off. Their extended length allows the deep socket to fit over long fasteners and reach into recessed areas. The large, die-stamped markings are permanently impressed into the material and optimized for readability.

Reasonably priced socket set and I was impressed it came with storage rails too. I have been gradually moving all my sockets, ratchets and combo wrenches over to Tekton from my other name brand. I am not throwing anything out just updating to master sets so I am not missing any sizes. Quality tools and comes on twist off rails. The rails were slightly too tall for my tool cabinet so I moved them to another brand of rails that are aluminum with plastic push on with detent ball so they would fit in my tool box and match my other Tekton master sets that came in blow molding cases. I would recommend these to anyone starting out or updating an old set. Build quality is great with good chrome plating and etched markings.

I love Tekton brand tools! This is the largest ranging set of sockets (6-24mm) that I found. I had never really heard of Tekton until I bought these. Not only did it come with a FULL (no skipped sizes) set of deep and shallow 3/8 drive sockets, it also came with a nice rack that fit right in the top drawer of my tool box. The sockets themselves are beautiful and look and feel like they can take a beating (and they have). I’ve had them for about a month or so now and use them daily. I am now a fan of Tekton and have since ordered quite a bit more from them. Pliers, organizers l, screwdrivers etc. nothing I’ve got from them has broken but even if it did they’ve got lifetime warranties on most of their stuff. All these sockets (GOOD SOCKETS AT THAT) and rack for way way less that you could ever get off a tool truck. Stay out of debt with Snap-On and get these sockets and save you about $700. Take your girl out to eat or something with all that money saved.

As someone who has Snap-On and other high-end tools, I can honestly say that these sockets are well made, use an excellent steel, and have an excellent finish. I have been going to Tekton to save money for a while now. While these sockets are made in Taiwan, they are quality sockets. They have many of the same features as Snap-On and other brands. Snap-On and Matco, MAC, etc. have better quality and steels, but not by a whole lot, and cost a lot more. The etchings are very visible and large, the entryways are chamfered properly without a ton of lead-in, they have a shelf to help push nuts and bolts into fasteners, and radiused corners to prevent rounding off of nuts and bolts. Well worth the money, and Tekton's replacement/warranty/customer service are extremely easy to use and deal with.

I'm going to be honest...sockets are sockets. I have some Craftsmen, a Snap-On or two, and buckets of random stuff. I got tired of not having a matching set fit in my socket drawer so decided to just buy a complete set from TEKTON to get the organizer basically. The sockets are nice quality, at least visually, but the organizer/retainer is TOP NOTCH! Not only is it a quality plastic that feels like it will last, but it is brilliantly designed. It's low profile, and the bandoliers snap into place with a satisfying click. There is a lock mechanism so you can carry them and actually get where you are going without it popping off. The BEST part is how the sockets hold on--you twist them to remove. No plastic pressure system to wear out...just twist on/twist off. I'm VERY happy with my two sets and it is exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the deepsockets are just 10mm to tall to fit in my 2.5" deep toolchest drawers, but honestly laying them flat is easy and I can read them better. If I need to take them somewhere popping the bandolier back on the plastic tray takes 2 seconds. Buy this.

The sockets fit well and they are very strong. The finish on all the sockets is excellent as well. Finally the storage rails are stronger than I thought they would be and really are a great solution for sockets. This is a much better system than blow molded cases.

Look, I am not a master mechanic and I don't use my tools hourly, daily or even weekly...but when I do decide to strap-on the weekend warrior outfit and repair, build or tinker with something, I like to have the correct tools for the job. I have over the past year or two been filling in my 'tool gaps'. I realized while working on something a few weeks ago that I did not have deep-well metric sockets for 3/8-inch drive. I had 1/4-inch & 1/2-inch drive and I was able to complete the mission but 3/8" drive would have fit the space and size of the bolt better... I have a selection of Craftsman, GearWrench, Neiko and Capri Tools along with Tekton. I know most of these are not (or no longer) manufactured in the USA, event he name brand stuff is being outsourced these days so how do you even know? Tekton provides a fantastic balance between price and quality. If you are making your money using tools, you may want to invest accordingly. But for me, Tekton delivers great tools for a great price...
