This is genuine Milliken Tegris, so the quality is of course good. Not the most cost-effective way to buy it, but if you only need a small amount and don't want to deal with the MOQ from MMI this is a great stopgap that arrives quickly.

I thought I was buying a typical thermoplastic sheet like others I’d bought before; used for making hand-molded splints. Nope; Tegris is something else altogether, and it is NOT meant to be heat-formed. So; I can’t use it for making braces for injured wrists or fingers, what can I use it for? I did a bit of research online, and discovered that I’ll be able to use it for many other things. Stiffening belts; unlike my leather belts, a belt made with this as a backer or interior layer will not deform or absorb sweat when I’m working outdoors. I’ll probably make such a belt just for my water gear. Also for my water gear, I believe this will make a good layer to put under the insole of my ultra-thin watershoes; I’m often in murky water that contains things such as broken glass or twisted metal, and this layer of carbon-fiber will prevent those from penetrating through to my foot. In addition, I can use small pieces of it to reinforce areas of the braces I make where the stresses are greatest, because unlike standard sheets of plastics used for custom splints, this stuff won’t tear or shatter. You could argue that I don’t have the qualifications to give this a rating, because I didn’t mean to buy a carbon-fiber laminate, and I’m coming from that position of ignorance. However, the fact that, without a laser-cutter, I can’t rely on the edges remaining sealed once cut with scissors makes it less than ideal for me, and the same will be true for some other hobbyists who might want to use Tegris. (I’ll be running a bead of Gorilla glue around the cut edges to keep it from fraying.)

We use this for combat robots. It is nearly indestructible. This is after a piece of sharpened steel hit it spinning 20k rpm.
