As long as you follow the instructions, the whole instructions it works! Don't worry about it getting to hot in your mouth. Heres my step. Before I put them in my mouth I washed them, then made it a spot comfortable where it will sit and practice like it said in step 1 I boiled water in a tea kettle, poured in a small cooking pan - no boil Dipped one tray in, counted to 5,pulled straight out to hang "dry" for 2 seconds - inserted on the top and sucked to seal it and used my fingers to get a good grip and held it that way until I felt it start to "harden" or get stiff, you'll feel the difference. The bottom I did kind of mess up cuz I forgot to press my fingers against it, so I redipped it for 3 seconds pulled straight out and dipped back for another 3 seconds but had to make sure the back part didn't fold cuz it will quick. But it worked the 2nd time too. Hope this helps and works for yall too. I would definitely purchase again as it was simple, easy, didn't have any taste or smell like others I've experienced, and loved the redip to save the tray. It helped a lot. ... show more

It says "thin" but the trays are thick and took several tries to form to fit around the teeth like the ones made at the doctor's office after speaking to the owner of the company. I lost my doctor made tray and was hoping to find a tray that would work as well more affordably... lost 1 point for not molding perfectly but will be usable. I had called the 888 number when I saw how thick the trays were and the owner walked me through the process and also gave me a quick edu on the different gels to get the best results. FOr a quick fix I will use these trays and in the near future will contact the company to have them custom mold the trays from the kit they sell... Thank you for all your help! ... show more

I notice in the reviews some people are complaining about "fit" .... I mean, if you want to spend $150 you can go get a custom made device, get impression of your teeth, and have molds made and then get a retainer-like whitening tray. But really? Really? The concept of using hot water to make a good enough fit for a $10 to $20 2-piece set has been around 50+ years. It's not rocket science, and wouldn't announce that you have trouble with tasks like that when you use your real full name on Amazon. Just sayin'. ... show more

These are not that easy to mold. I'm not sure if I could have figured it out with more extras. You have to be very quick in the molding process and they are too big for my mouth.

I ended up using my forms and guns being burned by the solution used that I could not keep the forms in my mouth 2 times. When you boil the water put the forms in immediately both at the same time to have a good form, the form is not the whole mouth,teeth but I had to return the item could not use it. ... show more

I followed the directions and these worked beautifully! I reheated one of the trays in the hot water because it was slightly loose, and then it fit perfectly. I highly recommend- way cheaper than getting trays from the dentist!

    • The melt so fast. You have to use barely warmed water
The plastic will melt and curl so quick with hot water. It gets small and falls in on itself. Even when using it doesnt feel great. I really is a cheap product.

These work great for the small amount of time they will be needed for teeth whitening. Of course they don’t turn out as perfect as the ones from the dentist, but they cost much, much less and will get the job done. The instructions explain the process well. I like that they don’t have a taste or smell to them. ... show more
