Bought for our RV. Have only used gasoline (not propane yet). Set up straight forward and was up and running in minimal time/effort. Powered our 24' trailer with frig/freezer and AC running during this year's heatwave in Ohio. Starts very easily and runs quiet enough not to hear it inside the trailer with windows closed. We have used it for two days now dry camping, Nice it comes with the needed oil and spout, a couple tools and the propane hose. I was surprised to see that added value. First day at camp added gas and it started right up. I let it run on high for a couple hours, then added the rv load. Our rv is just 20 feet and i put the fridge on gas. so pretty light load. It worked fine so I let it run a while and moved it to echo mode, nice as it runs much quieter (we charged our phones etc.). Later about 3pm I put on the rv a/c and it conked out. unplugged and turned off the echo. started and the ac works great. over 90 outside and a nice cool 74 inside. Hooked up propane and it ran fine as well; I didn't run it with the ac on. Theres less power on propane but I don't like carrying gas, so I'll try it next time. Overall, we like it. great value. I should add we have owned many generators in the past, and this one is perfect and only 60 pounds. ... show more

An inverter generator is a must have for the newer refrigerators as they can come packed with sensitive high end electronics. The Bilt Hard inverter generator solved several issues for me. Most importantly it provides cleaner electrical power for all the digital gadgets and appliances we have. Our old Nikota 3500w generator was just a down and dirty machine. It got the job done and still operates flawlessly after 14 hurricane seasons. The Bilt Hard is fairly quiet even before you switch to the Eco mode, it comes with a small tool kit to help get it set up, and its smaller than I expected. I just wish there was a better parts break down. Setup/prep only takes a few minutes and it very easy and you're good to go. Don't forget to remove the 4 brackets from the undercarridge. Be sure to have some 10W-30 oil on hand when to set it up. Also you need to be sure to use fuel stabilizer in the gas and you'll need to run it every 90 days for 15-20 minutes, otherwise you'll void the warranty (yes you read that correctly, some of the parts on this generator are under warranty for 2 years). I also purchased the Asurion warranty just to be safe. It's my hope that this is a super easy unit for my wife to be able to use if I'm not available to set it up. Almost forget, there is a charging cable included. My assumption it that it's intended to be just with your vehicles power outlet. I measured a decibel level 67.2 standing next to the unit (less than 3 feet/1 meter) and 47.6 just inside the house with the unit 20 feet from the door with a smal load. The Nikota idled at 76.3 db. Standing next to it. I connected it to my reliance essential curcuits and flipped the switch on 5 of the 6 curcuitsx, one being the refrigerator. I hope that this helps. In closing I'd like to point out that Nikota was a gamble as well and it turned out to be a jewel with regular maintenance (oils changes and spark plug checks). ... show more

Good quality build was the most inexpensive that ran dual fuel. I've had this product before in a big shop fan also works awesome, nice, big rubber legs for vibration relatively quiet compared to a Honda, maybe slightly louder, but I'm not even sure that almost would have to have them side by side. Definitely worth the money. I would recommend it ... show more

I am completely and totally off grid and this inverter has saved my life. It runs all of my household applications, water pump, microwave, even electric heater. Solar can be very tricky and confusing if you're not an expert and this inverter right here simplifies things by doing all the different operations you need, in one unit. I highly recommend sungold power products. The affordability and quality combined makes these products a shoe in for those who want to be off grid or hybrid - either one!
