Have been wanting to get a keypad lock for our house for a while, so I don't have to fumble with keys or worry about leaving a spare key for house sitter when we're away. The price point on this was great. It came with everything I needed (I didn't end up needing the strike plate it came with since it was the same size as the old deadbolt, so that was a win!). I consider myself an entry level DIYer, and this was super simple to install and the instructions were easy to follow. Just check to make sure your doors thickness is appropriate for the dimensions of the unit. It took me a total of maybe 10-15 minutes to install. Most of that time was spent trying to yank out the old deadbolt which had been painted over and was kind of swollen from the humidity expanding the wood. Setting up the code is easy, and the battery compartment is on the inside of the door with an easily accessible cover to swap out batteries, so you don't have to take the whole thing apart to change them when the time comes. The keypad buttons light up when pressed which makes it easy to see when it's dark. Setting your code up is also pretty simple following the directions. For most people, this should be a quick install; however be aware that your door must close perfectly. In my case, our front door always needed just a bit of an extra tug, not something you normally think of or notice too much, but once you add in an autolocking system it becomes an issue that must be solved. So while a normal install would take about 10 to 15 minutes, in my case I had to chisel out a bit more of my jamb (With a flat head screwdriver no less) so my striker plate would seat correctly. It probably took me an hour to get the whole job done. Not a huge deal, and definitely not the fault of Teeho, but something to be aware of. The unit itself works flawlessly, though make sure you keep the manual around for when you need to add/remove codes. We've used it for about 3 months so far and haven't had any issues nor have the replaceable batteries died, even though our front door gets used way more than Teeho's average. This works quite well and was super easy to install. I have had it not engage a couple times, but it may have been that I locked or unlocked it too quickly the time before. Just waited a few seconds......did the opposite move of what I was trying to do when it didn't work so it would get back on track, and it worked fine. I've had it a couple months and it was less expensive to replace my last Kwik-Set electronic entry that I'd had for 5 years before it broke, than it was to order the repair parts, wait, and then fix the other one. ... show more

I removed the old lock and installed the new within 5 minutes. it was super easy to install and program the new code. the instructions were not the greatest, but you shouldn't need them with how simple the task is. the most difficult part is changing the code, which the instructions explain clearly enough. i've been using this product for about a week now. my only question is how long the batteries last, which time will tell. using (4) AA batteries, i would expect a long time. will update when I figure that one out. ... show more

Great product value for the price! Looks fantastic and works well. Install would have been quick but couldn’t get the door to unlock so I had to call the technical support number provided. Super nice customer service, patient and easy to understand. Turns out if you screw the screws in too much, it causes the lock to hang up on them.
