This is my second TecTecTec Rangefinder. My first, a Vpro500, lasted five years. First, if you're a little shaky, like I am, a rangefinder with stabilization might be a better choice. The ULT-X finds the target and displays a range distance almost immediately, but waiting on the lock-on vibration can take a few seconds and a shaky viewfinder becomes obvious. The vibration is slight but adequate. Accuracy seems spot on (compared with several other top of the line rangefinders). The viewfinder optics are crystal clear and data readings are sharp and easy to read. Just don't do what I did and think the ULT-X is inaccurate BECAUSE you have it set to "meters" and think you're reading the distance in "yards". I recommend the ULT-X unless you need stabilization, for which you will pay much more.

I only get to golf about two to three times per month on average but every time I go out, I use this range finder. I love the ability to change the focus depending on how far away the target is! I also love the slope feature that adjusts the distance based on how far up hill or down hill the target is. Overall, this has been a great device and is much cheaper than other top of the line range finders. Would 100% recommend! Make sure to register to get the free two year extended warranty!

This is the second Tectectec rangefinder I've purchased. The first was the VProXLS, I gave to my brother when I got this one. It took a couple of rounds to get used to locking on the flag using the sweeping motion left to right. I started off just left of the flag and sweep right and would see the distance change from what was in the background to the flag distance and then vibrate to verify it's locked onto the flag. I have compared this to Bushnell and Nikon with the same yardage results for half the price of the others I compared it to. The only issue I have had is if a large tree is directly behind the flag it only picks up the tree so I simply take a couple of steps to the side and shoot the flag without the tree directly behind the flag. Outstanding rangefinder for the price. Additionally, after I gave the one to my brother, he send me a text after his first round with it and he was raving on how accurate it is and how much he loved the slope feature. He said every shot was withing a couple of yards of the distance he measured. He's very accurate with his irons so he used his shot distance to verify the rangefinders yardage. Yes he's that accurate with his irons. He was using a Nikon hunting rangefinder before I gave him the Tectectec. Bottom line is... if you want a great rangefinder at a great price with an unheard of 2 year warranty, buy Tectectec!! You will not be disappointed. This is my second purchase because I was so satisfied with the first one.

I want to commend the Customer support team at TEC TEC TEC. They were completely true to their word when it comes to customer satisfaction. I had the top of the line model delivered to my home 10 months ago. For some reason unbeknownst to me or to the customer support team my rangefinder was not recording consistent distances. I was very frustrated and realized that something must have occurred in either the shipping process or a malfunction. I’m very happy to report that the new rangefinder I received works brilliantly. In fact I’m very impressed that I can now zero in on a sloped par 3 to 168.3 yards! I just wish I was a good enough golfer to consistently hit a Club to .3 of 1 yard! The folks at TEC TEC TEC are true to their word! Just like it says on the box “just OK is not acceptable we want you to be happy!” So now I’m more happier with my rangefinder then I am with my golf game! Thank you TEC TEC TEC BOB G. DIX HILLS N.Y.

I'm a 1st time user of a range-finder that previously only used my iPhone with the Golfshot application. I am lazy 14 index that hates practice, but is hoping to improve my game by knowing true yardage....I "shot" every hole on my home course to for the 1st couple rounds to get comfortable with it. I absolutely LOVE the slope feature. I was pleasantly surprised how my club selection has improved. As a newby, it took me a few holes to get used to relaxing and taking a stable shot of the flag. Some of the reviewers suggested this might be due to the lightweight size, but I have nothing to compare it too, so I think it is just a bit of practice. I find the optics spectacularly clear, the size small and lightweight, and the construction solid enough that I'm treating it no better or worse than my clubs. I do not use the vibration feature much, but I'm now able to get a good reading regardless of background. Every once in awhile I get a weird reading, but it is usually because I am sighted on a tree far beyond the green. I don't question the accuracy at all, since it correlated well with my phone gps app as well as my friends Bushnell. I can only hope that I someday will care about a 1/10 of a yard "someday."
