Beware— these are powder-coated steel leg supports with Aluminum tops. This is my second purchase from TecSpace. My previous purchase were the ALL aluminum benches— which I love. This bench looks the same in the photo and are described as aluminum, but the legs are steel and add considerable weight to the bench. They will rust eventually in my Florida weather. Tescpace 27 " Aluminum Picnic convertible picnic table half or bench is a pretty neat piece of outdoor patio furniture. This product converts from a half picnic table to a bench. The back tilts horizontal to be a table surface or near vertical (the max angle is shown in the product photos.) so you can use this as a bench. If you purchase 2 of these, you can butt the table sides together and have a full picnic table for 4. I love that it is lightweight, aluminum, adjustable and looks great. We use this as a bench not a table. The seat says it can hold up to 330 lbs, the back says it can handle up to 70 lbs for whatever that is worth. 400 total. This piece of furniture is very lightweight. I think it was too lightweight. Maybe that is (along with cost) partly why the manufacturer has steel for the legs on this. Make it all aluminum, add a crossbar to the legs and add gears to both sides of the tabletop hinge and this would be a 5 star item. The good Very nice looking bench. Lightweight Easy to lift and place wherever you like. The tops are aluminum The tabletop is adjustable by a geared knob. Easy to use. The dial/crank takes some effort to turn, a good thing. The Bad The legs are coated steel. Laterally this has some issues as there is no support bar / cross bar to reinforce the rigidity. So it can wobble left and right slightly and will get looser if you rock it back and forth. for example maybe by children playing on it. The tabletop/back is solid on the crank side, but the opposing side has some movement in it because only 1 side has the gears. I already see a very tiny bit, but rust nevertheless forming from the hinge point area after just 2 or 3 rainfalls. ... show more

    • Not welded properly from factory.

It came in with a unmelted right hinge. This right hinge will not adjust or even loosen up for install because of missed weld. Call factory as instructed on paper in box. Factory would not call back. I will be buying Lifetime brand. Had to return to Amazon. They did call back.
