This has been done intentionally by the manufacturer in order to maintain the integrity of the canopy while the umbrella is being stored in the warehouse. To remove the film simply wipe off the interior with a dry rag and enjoy.

When I first received it, it had that foggy residue but that’s something that is put on there so it doesn’t get stuck together while it’s shipped and it comes off after you use it!
