    • Cheap thin glass
As most people have said, this is the thinnest glass ever. For such an expensive coffee maker, this is the cheapest thing in the world. Also, the top part comes off so easily its insane. The one that came with the coffee maker was not like that. I'm also super gentle with the handle as I've read other reviews saying it can come off. I usually hold it by the glass when I clean it. If this breaks, I'm buying some other sturdier one and just using the top that this comes with. Side note: The coffee isn't much better than other coffee makers. :( ... show more

    • Carafe breaks
As with many of the other reviews, my carafe broke after 11 months of use. I am about to order my third carafe. I love the coffee maker. I dislike the fragility of the side panels on the handle of the carafe.

    • Very Bad Durability
I bought this product two month ago. The first one broke this morning after only one month. Using the backup tomorrow. These are 43.07 each with tax, not cheap! Unfortunately coffee tastes better with glass carafe than metal. We treat the glass carafe with kid gloves after the original carafe cracked within six months. The KBG brewer makes outstanding coffee, too bad the glass carafe that is made for them cannot be more durable. Pretty bad technology in this day and age! ... show more

    • My second carafe.
First, I love the machine. It makes great coffee and it makes it quickly. My wife dropped the carafe and broke the handle, so I ordered a second one. The second one has arrived. It works great. I know the cost of the coffeemaker is not cheap, but it is worth it in my book.

    • Not durable, but what other choice do we have?
It fits the Technivorm Mocchamaster machine perfectly, of course, and is easy to disassemble for cleaning. But I am on my third now. One knock with the wedding ring, or as you're placing onto the plate, or little dink on the side of the sink, and you'll likely cause a crack that'll begin to show soon thereafter (you usually notice because the coffee leaches into it, exposing the brown crack line). ... show more

    • Does the job, flimsy plastic, and the lid makes a mess when you pour
Handle is flimsy and the lid overhangs the spout in a way that makes a mess if you don’t pour carefully. Not sure if it’s dishwasher safe, but I wouldn’t because the handle doesn’t seem like it’ll hold up well.
