I purchase the carafe thinking it would be easy to pour out of then my very old Stanley thermos. I was very disappointed with this carafe. It did not keep coffee hot for more than an hour even though I prewarmed the carafe. I'm going to return it.

Works great at keeping hot beverages hot. I do pour 1-2 cups of heated hot water in it and let it sit about 5 minutes before refilling it with coffee. Easy to use and I like the look.

This even sounds cheap and feels lightweight. Top is awkward to close. After several months this served us moderately well. Coffee doesn’t stay hot even if I preheat with hot water. 1-2 hours is all it can keep hot liquid hot.
