Didn't want to write a review unless I've used this Baby. Minileds are a shocker, great color, bright, no halo effect so far. Great size for a bedroom just tone the brightness down. The internal speakers are the best brand I've heard in all my past tvs( LG and Samsung). TCL really needs to improve the operating system: it's really slow, sometimes it will freeze just choosing an app to play. For a Google TV it should be faster with cleaner responses. TCL has finally made an upper tier TV, and built for gaming a double plus. The remote feels like metal, sturdy easy to use, my wife wants her own. It's a great TV my eyes are doing their best to adjust to newer visual technologies, especially 4k and HDR videos, WOW. Before getting this TV I had done some research into what Mini LED tv gives the best bang for your buck, this one competes with OLEDs no problem and has insane brightness! The blacks are deep and most of the time I think the TVs off are whenever there is a scene with a lot of darkness. It’s insane how crystal clear the quality is. The TV speakers are also pretty solid but I have it hooked up to a sound system. Google TV interface works well, it’s not laggy. I’m beyond impressed with the QM8K, watch some reviews on YouTube to really see a more detailed breakdown of how much of a powerhouse this thing is. ... show more

Just Awesome! I have been a life long Samsung TV buyer but I did the research and this TV really delivers. I went back and forth with the QM7K and if you need to save $ that is probably a great option and has smaller sizes. However, I have an incredibly bright ro and the 5000 nits on this TV allow me to watch in the daytime even in movie mode without issues. Picture quality is amazing and while it’s not OLED it’s much cheaper than OLED and I don’t think it’s far off in the picture quality. TCL surprised me with the price, quality and functionality. I don’t notice that I’m missing anything or that it’s noticeably different from my Samsung interface which I loved- I love this as much. If you’re on the fence and especially if you find a sale- I’d snap this TV up! ... show more

    • Bright, Immersive, but Room for Improvement – Still a Strong Choice!

Coming from a Samsung QN90A, and having tried the LG G4 and G5, I just couldn’t get behind OLEDs – they lack the brightness and immersion I want, especially at this price point. Decided to take a shot on the 75” TCL QM8K, and I’m still figuring out just how good it is. Pros: ✅ Once I dialed in the settings, the brightness is impressive – though I do wish it could go a bit brighter. ✅ HDR performance is excellent for movies, and 4K Blu-rays look absolutely amazing. ✅ Gaming performance is top-notch – fast response and bright picture overall. ✅ The OS is snappy, intuitive, and changing settings is a breeze. ✅ From the front, the design is sleek and modern. Cons: ❌ Viewing angles are definitely lacking – you lose brightness and color pretty quickly off-center. ❌ The screen is very glossy, which isn’t great if your room gets a lot of light. ❌ There’s a strange dimming issue that pops up in some games and a few movies – I’m really hoping TCL can fix this with a firmware update. ❌ Brightness can be inconsistent; highlights don’t always pop the way I’d like. ❌ The TV is pretty bulky when viewed from the side or back – not the best look if your setup exposes those angles. Overall, I’d recommend the QM8K if you’re looking for a bright, immersive experience without going OLED. It delivers excellent performance for movies and gaming, but I’m crossing my fingers TCL fixes some of these quirks with future updates. ... show more

So far, so good. The sound this TV is awesome. I didn't need a soundbar, like I have attached to other TV, which is a SONY. The Sony definitely needed a soundbar, this one didn't. Probably because of the Bang & olfsen speakers on the back. The sound is very clear. This TV has dark blacks and rich colors. Watching UHD and HD content is great. The media could not be loaded. I don’t usually write reviews but this TV is stunning for the price. It’s bright enough during the day, and the picture rivals an OLED at night. The remote backlight is helpful, and UI is a lot faster than the previous google models. I think what made me write this review is the sound. I had a sound bar, but my family is kinda lazy and hates having two remotes. The first night with this TV, I played some Jurassic world and the growls had noticeable bass, better than any TV I’ve ever had. I did a ton of research, and I was going to get the QM7K but this one was on sale for only about $100 more. I think it’s worth the extra price. Don’t hesitate to order, it’s worth it! ... show more
