I do not use the TV for games, but to watch TV and movies. The picture quality on this model is superb, and so are the colors. The brightness control when using HDR is straightforward and effective. Broadcasts in Dolby Vision are amazing. Plenty of controls for inputs and sound outputs. Google TV is instinctive and easy to set up use. Amazon freight division delivered on time with no damage, very easy and nice. Setup was relativly easy but is much heavier than expected, not quiet plasma heavy but close, and the back of the tv is not flat as shown in amazons pictures. It stair steps at the very bottom and if you use a swing arm wall mount with an "X" pattern you will have to bend the bottom 2 brackets to fit. Over all the setup and firmware update went without issue using the Google Home App on my phone. It took mabey 10 or 15 minutes with a hard line hooked to the ethernet port start to finish. Dolby vision dark mode, i found the contrast and tint and saturation to be just slightly hot for my taste. This tv gets very bright, i also had to bump contrast down from 100 to around 95 as the whites were also a little blown up. These adjustments werent out of the ordinary though, just my preference. I already had the roku ultra so there was no need to spend the extra 100 in the roku version. Rtings.com has a good setup page for this tv , follow there suggestions and you wont be dissapointed in the picture quality. So far so good. I cant say anything about how games play on this. Dolby vision 4k 60 looks impressive. Update: 60 days in and still almost perfect, no weirdness of the overall function of the hardware or os. Been watching playoff hockey with Dolby Vision bright with motion and jutter maxed out and its crisp and smooth as butter. They talk about panel lottery, guess i better head to the casino because my pannel is amazing. ... show more

I purchased this TV after my research suggested the picture is excellent at this price point, and I was not disappointed. A big improvement over my older screen. Bright and sharp! Wonderful color! And the sound is far better than my older TV, too--a sound bar doesn't seem critical. I had used Roku and liked it, but couldn't find this TV with Roku so I purchased it with Google TV, although I'd heard Google TV can be glitchy. And it really is. Not only difficult to navigate, but dune apps are laggy, or won't open after repeated attempts. Very frustrating. I ended up plugging in my Roku stick and it works much better. ... show more

Important for somebody looking through the reviews deciding whether to buy, the google software was plagued from the start but the software is now fixed! I bought this tv for gaming on the Xbox one x and it is amazing, night and day over my old Samsung 4K tv. If you want to game 4k 120hz you need to buy the google version of this tv not the roku version! If you’re reading this, this tv is the google version so you’re good. This tv meets or exceeds everything else an Xbox one x needs. It has VRR (variable refresh rate), and auto low latency mode. It plays 4k HDR 12 bit at 120 hz. Sound is impressive for just being a tv without a sound bar (which you can add easily). If you’re the kinda of person that thinks the tv is listening to you and don’t want the voice commands you can physically turn a switch off to disable the microphone. Best part about this tv is that it is not OLED, so you will not get the dreaded images burned into your screen. I leave my tv on the same screen for hours and never have to worry about that happening. So you might think oh well it doesn’t have the blacks that the OLEDS produce? Let me tell you mini LED technology is almost completely comparable to OLED blacks, the blacks are amazing on this tv. The stands are sturdy you don’t need to worry about a cat or someone tipping it over, they also include wire guides which is a neat little feature. I don’t have many cons but a few things I wish it had: - I don’t know much about Dolby vision but on the Xbox one you can only do Dolby vision at 60hz. I think this is common for most TVs except the pricey ones. - I wish this tv had a display option to place the FPS you are getting in a corner or something, but it does not. - the display when I first got it was awful I had to adjust a lot of settings to get the awesome picture I’m talking about. But don’t worry you can look them up online! For the money, especially now that newer TVs are coming out this tv will probably drop in price and it’s already a steal! I am very happy with it! I didn’t have any dead pixels like people are talking about. Easy to setup! If you’re not getting 4k 120 hz make sure you are using the right type of hdmi. I bought this TV to replace a TCL series 4 that finally started having issues. Amazon Room Choice Delivery was amazing and simple. The TV itself is great value, I managed to get it on sale. Compared to other TVs, is it the best? No, but for the value it definitely punches way above its weight class. The picture is solid and amazing, not OLED level. Also make sure to tune the brightness for your specific room because the blooming on this TV can be noticeable, otherwise this TV gets super bright for rooms with a lot of sun light. The actual built of the TV is also great, the stand is sturdy and the entire TV feels premium during setup. Only true dislike is the weight, definitely don't try lifting and setting this TV up by yourself. Otherwise, if you're looking for a tv for gaming and movies then get this right away. ... show more
