I am impressed. I've had it a week. The picture is very nice. It was very very easy to set up. Multiple ways to activate the Roku, you can use your cell phone, an app or your email. Plug it in and it works. I also use it as a computer monitor, which only required me to plug in my HDMI cord and good to go. The remote is very simple and very straight forward. It gives off no heat that I can feel, even after being left on for 24 hours straight, I can not feel any heat coming from the screen or the back of the TV. That means no wasted electricity going into heat, and for a Floridian like myself, no heat that my air conditioner needs to work to dissipate. My old flat screen would heat up my room very quickly and I always had to run the A/C on a lower temp to keep the room cool. A lot of electric savings on this. Tag says $10 a year for 5 hours a day of use. That's really good. The frame is about 1/2" and feels sturdy. I did not want one of these frameless TV's where you have to be afraid to even touch it or it can be ruined. I dont intend to throw it around, but it doesnt feel delicate. It is EXTREMELY light weight. The box felt empty at first when I picked it up to bring it in from my porch. I opened it immediately thinking it must have gotten packaged without the TV. Nope, it's just that light weight. But NO, it doesnt feel cheap. It doesn't look like cheap plugs or poor quality materials. It just doesnt weigh much. It's just some electronics inside a plastic shell, with a thin film over the front. Nothing to add weight. I will update this later if I have any quality issues in the future, but for now, it's just what I wanted at a great price.

I am very happy with this TV. The picture is good. The roku functionality is great. Very easy to set up all my apps (streaming services). For some reason netflix did not work for the first 24 hours, but after that it connected and I was able to set it up alongside the other services. You can also add apps like Spotify, which is nice for using it as a speaker when you just want music. Make sure you get the Roku app for your phone, which turns your phone into a remote. That way you don't have to worry about where the tiny remote is, and you can use your keyboard for search and typing in passwords instead of using remote arrows to select each letter.

I have two 32" tv's just like this 50". One I had for about 6 years and the sound went out. I've had the other one about that long and it's great. So I decided to get the larger one for my bedroom. The picture on these is great. Very clear. And the sound is good without a sound bar in my bedrooms. Our family room would need some audio boost. Super easy to screw on the feet but lay it down on a soft surface (bed, sofa). Peel the film off the screen. Plug it in & set up network connection. Ready To Watch! Remote has 4 Press n Go buttons. This one has Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and HBO Max. My previous tv remote has Netflix, Sling, Hulu and Amazon Prime. I like the old one better because I use more of those but it works on this tv just fine. I would definitely recommend this tv.

Not the best tv, back light will creep through the sides on a dark screen. Also the bottom row of pixels will sometimes bug out while streaming, seems to be the tv as it happens w multiple apps. Also sometimes randomly shuts off when switching between hdmi sources, seems to be a bug with the CEC. If you want a high quality tv this ain’t it, but for the price your not gonna find anything better.

I decided to replace my old TV with a Smart TV so I can cast photos and video from my phone and use Apple Fitness Plus workouts at home. I wanted the biggest picture I can fit in my old built-in cabinet, and this TCL 50" Roku smart TV is perfect. I have used a Roku device for years, and it's the same remote, so convenient, no learning curve. The picture comes all the way to the edge of the screen, which makes it seem much bigger than my old TV. It works perfectly with my iphone and Apple AirPlay, and all my apps like Netflix and YouTube. It was delivered on the date promised, well-packaged, easy to put together and start using, a great value.

Update: 1 week after contacting TCL with a fairly painful 45 minute chat conversation, a tech was sent out with “I’ll be at your house today are you home”. Fortunately I was able to make that work. The tech himself was a contract repairer and he was great. Knew exactly what the problem was, says they see this all the time. Quick replace of power board. So. I’m back in business but next time I’ll buy a higher quality tv. Sure it’s more expensive but I won’t feel crappy about sending 3-4 tvs to the landfill and rolling the dice on when it will quit (holiday weekend) in the same amount of time the quality one lasts. I’ll add one star for actually getting a tech out to me within the warranty period. So it’s 23 days until the 1 year warranty is up and the black screen of death has occurred. I have gone through all the troubleshooting available from TCL and the friendly internet and no luck. After 45 minutes on TCL support chat (interface circa 1998 and unable to attach basic iPhone pics or movies without error) they’re going to send a technician to my house. He’ll call me at some unspecified time in the future, they won’t give me a company or a number. It’s a holiday weekend and 23 days until warranty ends. Call me skeptical. I will update if they pleasantly surprise me but I’m not holding my breath. My last TCL lasted 3 years and then died with a similar issue. Probably time for an upgrade.

I love the size was worried it might b too big but it’s gonna be a perfect fit on the wall I choose. Picture is perfect glad I can see it. No sound bar needed. Super easy set up so a rocket scientist may need some encouragement that they are still needed for more important things than setting your New TCL 50” TV up!😁

We just got around to setting up out Roku tv bought on prime days. Arrived in perfect condition even without a shipping carton. Setup was easy and connected to T-Mobile internet (had me worried) as I am not techy. Fits perfectly in our space and works great! Enjoying streaming and all the free channels. Sound is great -no need for sound bar. Remote is small and light - would love it u if c it was backlit but works so far (reason for 4 stars). I see I can upgrade it with 3 different options
