    • Gas valve needs improvement.
I’ve purchased three of these. (Last 2 thru Amazon). Using it on a “mother-in-law-suite” on the rear of my house. It gets minimal use. They last about a year before the gas valves fail which is a non replaceable part. Other than that they work ok for me.

I have now ordered two of these as the first one had a gas valve die so the unit refused to light. Purchased another one. Worked for a couple months then same deal... Removed gas valve and it now works I just manually have to turn the propane tank on and off. A definite safety hazard. Would not recommend at this point. ... show more

This unit has been nothing but problems since the install. I was using this as a stock tank pool heater and it worked okay for about 3 days of use. It isn’t reliable as it only lights 7/10 times. It finally quit working yesterday. I’ve diagnosed it as a bad gas valve which you can’t buy parts for and even if you could it would be a pain to change. Also, the 20 minute timer can’t be disabled which means you have to physically turn the power switch on and off every twenty minutes. There are work arounds by adding a 110vac to 3vdc power supply and plugging it into a countdown timer but it is a hassle. Not worth your money. Look else where for a cheap heating solution. ... show more
