tested motor before i installed on my boat, motor ran fine in the forward mode, in reverse the motor would start on it's own run to full speed and never stop unless i turned it off, if it did run by the speed handle it would run at full speed and stop then run reverse at full speed with out any change in control. ... show more

Box came severely damaged and both plastic frames were cracked - received a replacement for one but not the other. Plus no instructions in English. Holding out judgment as we haven’t used it yet but not happy so far.

Wasn't as bad aa i thought, could have used a manual in ENGLISH. Cranked right up and we were all over the marina. Just be sure of the gear oil and the motor oil because it comes with nothing but a weak screw driver and an extra sparkplug.
