one of the clasps broke and i was forced to buy new snap closures and sew them on but otherwise they are very comfortable, clean up easily and are stretchy enough to keep from binding. i would suggest buying in one size larger than normal but they do fit if bought as normal sizing. long term durability is unknown but i have been them through the ringer so far and aside from the on small hook breaking they are still a great lightweight pant to wear. ... show more

They are basically good pants but I am disappointed about a few things. Would have expected more than 3 pockets in cargo pants. The side pockets are a little small. There is stitching in a contrasting color. Not really objectional but I keep thinking I have spilled something on them. I like that they have a hook instead of a button at the top of the fly but it seems to be weak although it has held ok so far. They seem sturdy but don't have the feel of cloth. They feel more like plastic. I worked near a space heater and my leg got pretty warm so I turned it off. Later when I took them off part of one leg was melted. It doesn't seem like it will stop me from using them but is odd. In all fairness I have to admit that almost the same thing happened the next day to another pair which don't feel like plastic. Bottom line I will keep wearing them. ... show more

I bought these for the sole purpose of caving. I’ll paint a quick picture for you. We went about 2-3 miles down a cave system that was wet, muddy, and in some places sharp. These held up perfectly. I got them home and they were so muddy I had to rinse them in 3” of water in the bathtub three times before they came clean because they were so caked in mud. There wasn’t so much as an abrasion mark on them and I stayed dry in them the whole time. We were down there consistently wet for 6-7 hours. Paired with a light under layer I stayed warm and dry the entire time. I couldn’t ask for a better pair of pants. The issue that people have complained about regarding the clasp at the waist is a simple issue to fix… we’re a belt. I didn’t need it and felt comfortable without one though. After wearing it twice this really nice pans have a week point - the zippers. During the second hike in the mountains the zippers went bad on both sides of the pockets as they are not strong enough. During the first trip I already had problems with them - they did not close easy and not without using both hands.
