I'm using this tattoo kit as a beginner and teaching myself how to tattoo. This kit has everything needed to start practicing immediately. With other kits, you have to order all these things separately, and this kit has pretty much everything needed to get started with relatively good quality. The tattoo pen is super easy to hold and quieter, with less vibration, than others I have tried. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. It comes with an adjustable RCA power supply system that has a voltage regulator of 6-12v. It's easy to use and also compatible with standard RCA interface connections for future tattoo machine upgrades. The ink that comes with this kit is pretty realistic on fake skin (I haven't done any real-life tattooing yet). This kit has been excellent for learning. Everything that comes in this set makes it affordable and practical for beginners like myself. Overall I'm really happy with this kit and still practicing before trying to do anything on real skin - that's the next step after a lot of practice. Great value!

The only reason I am giving this tattoo machine and set 4 stars instead of 5 is the power supply. It does work very well and is easy to use. I have used many guns for tattooing and this one is just as good as any of them. I find it easy to change needles during a tattoo session when I need different types. The ink that is included is a good amount and seems to last over large pieces.
