It would be very difficult to beat this tattoo pen kit from Solong based upon the price. However, this kit is not perfect. Right now this kit is selling for an absurd price, based upon a 50% off coupon, and lowered retail price. It makes this very attractive for beginners, and those who are considering tattooing, both as a career & a hobby. The kit comes with a decent tattoo pen, which is fat and easy to make fatter, still. This is important to prevent fatigue in the fingers and hands. Fat is the way to go. The pen is not bad, but don't confuse it with a premium machine. It's reasonably smooth, and reasonably quiet in the ranges you'll be working in (say, 6.0-8.0v). Not bad. The battery is... worthless. It's impossible to operate, and does not have any indication of the numerical equivalent of what you're operating at. Silly, really. I would just toss it. You also receive a clip cord with this kit, but there is no AC power supply, nor any foot switch. Also included are: A set of five tattoo needle cartridges, a single roll of narrow grip tape, a set of inks (practice only), a set of ink caps, a charging cord, a single set of black latex exam gloves. There is also a single sheet of synthetic tattoo practice skin, and two sheets of tattoo design transfer paper. The maker also was kind enough to include a small booklet on tattooing. You cannot beat this based upon price. It really is a super value, but there are many superior kits. ... show more

I received this Wireless Rotary Tattoo Machine Pen Kit for Beginners awhile back & really like it. It comes at a really good price imo. Is a nice set with quite a bit included. (See detail pics). Was really surprised that you could get a set like this at this price. I do a lot of art & have been wanted to up my game by getting into some tattoos. The kit definitely has everything you need to get started tattooing. The battery works but it's a bit awkward to have it hanging off the top of the gun. The gun comes with a cord for AC power, but no wall plug or converter or anything, so unless you buy more equipment, you have to stick with the battery. I tried it all out on the fake skin included, and it definitely works! It's nice that is has single- and multiple-needle cartridges for different kinds of coloring. It’s a nice little starter kit for beginners! Maybe not top notch quality but it’s decent. Comes with pretty much everything you need to get started. Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s the best machine out there but it’s a nice little bundle for someone just starting! Just be careful with the inks that these kits come with, it’s pretty risky to use them on human skin in case of bad reactions so I use it on fake skin only. ... show more

I really liked this tattoo kit. I wanted to try tattooing out and this gave me everything that I needed to do so. I like that it also comes with ink which many of the kits I have seen do not. This is definitely a beginner's type kit as nothing is super high end, but it will give you practice which is important. The pen itself is a bit shaky and the handle is large so it may take some practice but overall this is a great start to a new hobby or business. ... show more

This kit is perfect for a beginner tattoo artist. The machine runs extra smooth and feels great in my hand. The cordless power supply is nice with led indicators to display battery charge. It beats cords that will annoy you and your clients. It is nice however, to have the option to use a cord when the battery dies. It will last for hours on a single charge! The angle of the power supply makes it more balanced, but also more awkward to bag the machine. The kit comes with a bunch of other stuff like inks, bugpin 3RL and 15RM carts, gloves, wraps and fake skins to get you started. Highly recommend! ... show more

This rotary pen is easy to use as a begginer. It's easy to assemble and operate. The kit has what you need to test out the machine right away. I do wish it came with a user manual, the instructions are one page. The vibrations of the machine aren't too strong I was nervous about holding it steady as a first timer but it wasn't an issue at all. This product comes with everything you would expect to get started practicing with tattoos. The build quality is just fine, however feels a little bit shaky. It's not enough of an issue to throw away a recommendation, however it's just a little quirk worth mentioning.
