Picked this up recently and honestly, I’m super impressed. It’s lightweight, quiet, and runs super smooth. Whether you’re lining or shading, it handles both really well. The build feels solid – not cheap or flimsy. I’ve used it for a few sessions now, and it’s been consistent the whole time. No overheating or sputtering. This corded tattoo pen kit is a nice beginner set. It comes with most of the things you need to begin practicing tattooing. The items that come in this kit are decent quality and will work well for a beginner. The pen is comfortable to hold and to draw with. It is well balanced. The dial is easy to control. There are two things I don't love about the pen, though. The first is that the needle doesn't fully retract back into the cartridge when the pen is turned off. It very nearly retracts the whole way but leaves about 1mm of needle exposed which can be a safety hazard. The other downside is that the power cord is short but that is easily fixed with an extension cord. The kit comes with everything you need except pen and cord covers. The items included are good beginner quality but not anything you should be using on human skin. I say this particularly because ink is something you need to be very careful about in tattooing. This kind of beginners ink is fine to use on practice skins but I wouldn't want to put it inside a human body. I think this is a nice kit but the same brand has a better kit for just a few dollars more. I think they currently only have the two pen kits and I would recommend the other kit over this one. I think the quality is superior. The pen is a little thicker but just as comfortable.

This tattoo kit by Kooba is great for beginners and includes everything you need to get started. It seems to be a great value at its current price of $26.99. It includes 4 different types of sterile needles (5 of each). The pen seems to be on the heavy side and vibrates my hand a lot more than I anticipated at higher speeds. I could see this getting fatiguing to my hand and wrist over time. The cord length seems a bit short too. I’m a beginner so can’t speak to the quality of everything else in depth. I feel a bit skeptical about the ink, but I’m just using this kit to practice. I’m far from proficient enough to tattoo a person. I’m a bit disappointed there’s no paper guide with tips, although how everything works is fairly straightforward or can be researched on the internet. I’m also having trouble with the included practice skin. I thought it was just me being so new to this, but I think they are a bit thin and I’ll need to get different ones to practice on. Overall this kit is well suited for my needs though.
