I’m pretty sure all the negative reviews for this product are all user error. I’ve healed a number of tats with second skin and this product works exactly like any other. When applying, keep In mind: - There’s essentially 3 layers here (2 that peel). The first peel is protecting the side that sticks to your skin. The second is the actual membrane layer that sticks to your skin, and the third (outer) layer is a little thicker, kinda like plastic. - The little strip that you pull from the first layer is just a starter strip. It’s not nearly as sticky as the rest of the layer because it’s just for positioning. This is where I think folks are getting confused and saying “it doesn’t stick”. But once you get the positioning right, you then start to peel away the rest, which is the protective layer, slowly compressing to your tat as you peel. - Now the second (protective membrane) layer is securely on your tat. - But, there’s still a third layer, and it’s kinda rigid. Start in the middle of the blue ribbon and pull back in both directions (this third layer comes away in two pieces) - Now you’re just left with that second (middle) layer that’s protecting your tat. And trust me - it sticks just fine. In 4 to 5 days, you’ll know just how well it sticks because it’s kinda hard to pull off. - don’t take it off dry and don’t peel it off. - take it off in the shower under warm water. Slowly pull it parallel to your body as the adhesive gives way. Again, don’t peel. - you’ll see a little plasma and leftover ink stick to the layer. Completely normal and is not damaging your tattoo - you also may see what looks like leftover adhesive. It’s not, that’s actually peeling skin. Gently wash the area with soap but do NOT pull any of that skin off. - once you’re out of the shower, your tat will feel dryer than a bone. Start the moisturizing process 3 times a day. - there will still be some light skin peeling for the next 5 days, but after that, your tat will look as good as new. ... show more

This product is great for keeping areas under it dry. It’s similar to the covers hospitals use to cover IV insertion sites. I use it for covering clean wounds or burns. A yellow liquid can form (white blood cells) under it but that helps with healing. You can change it daily to every 3 days and healing will be quicker than with a bandage. To remove it easily pull it away from the wound not towards it ( stretching it out) ... show more

This is a great adhesive. I used it to cover my bandage that I had to keep on after my surgery. I could not get my incision wet. It worked great. After my shower I took it off, changed my bandage and it was not wet. I use a new piece before my daily shower.

I do not like this brand at all.Edges won't stay down went through 3 sheets even tried tapering edges like previous comment,nothing.My tattoo is on my upper arm and at a bend and it just does not want to stay down and on at all.Think I will be going back to my old brand for my next tattoo.I might as well stick Saran wrap to my arm the way this stuff moves.Disappointed...Update as i do understand nothing is perfect but their customer service is great and offered to make thing right. ... show more
