  • Seem good
Item Package Quantity: 2
I got these to use around the house for a variety of stuff while we remodel. They are a very convenient size and they seem to be durable and good quality. These traps seem to be durable and should serve well for regular individual needs, but probably won’t hold up for commercial use. There are no defects or issues that I could find. They are very reasonably priced and I’m happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • It's a tarp
Item Package Quantity: 1
There is really not a whole lot to say here. It's a tarp. It feels tear-resistant. Up to the task. Kept my wood dry in the snow this last weekend. Do you want me to comment on how vibrant the color is? It's a beautiful shade of blue...and it's a tarp. Recommended. * I base my own purchases on customer reviews. • Only 1.25 Mil Thick, Only 4 Strap Weave, EASILY PUNCTURED, VERY EXPENSIVE
Item Package Quantity: 1
The claims for this Tarpuglider Blue Tarp are nothing short of shocking and upsetting with blatant exaggerations. We tested the tarp and read on for our test results. -- ONLY 1.25 MIL THICK, NOT 5 MIL!: The measured thickness was so shockingly different than the 5 mil claim, I used 2 different micrometers and measured in several places to be sure and still only measured 1.25 Mil or significantly thinner than their claim. There is a 2" reinforced edge that does measure 5 mil, but the vast majority of the area of this tarp is only 1.25 mil. I’d say this thickness claim is beyond even the enthusiastic marketing we see so much of nowadays. See that attached picture showing the micrometer measuring a folded thickness of 2.5 mil which is 2 layers so the measurement is only 1.25 mil. Again I sampled in many places measuring the same 1.25 mil thickness measured or should I say thinness. -- ONLY A 4 WEAVE, NOT 5!. Measuring the number of weaves I could only count 4 straps/inch, not the 5 the manufacturer claims. Again some enthusiastic marking claims here. See the attached picture showing the actual measured weaves/inch. -- EASILY PUNCTURED!: The Tarpuglider Blue Tarp is so easily punctured!. A knife point with zero force punctured and tore the tarp. In practice, draping the tarp over uneven objects with corners and edges will result in a tattered mess with wind and jostling tearing open the tarp. See the attached picture. -- VERY EXPENSIVE!: A 5 mil tarp from a local brick and mortar import hardware store with 10 strap weave and 25% larger area costs only $12. This Tarpuglider is $13 at the time of this review or about 25%/sq ft more for the thinner, fragile Tarpuglider. A 1 mil plastic drop cloth a 25% larger area than the Tarpuglider is only $2. -- SHEDS WATER: The tarp does shed water and I felt no leak through on the sink test I did. See the attached picture. -- WEATHER PROOF? Time will tell. I have never seen these blue tarps last long as the suns UV will disintegrate the plastic over time turning it into confetti. Give the exaggerations and thinness for this product I would expect this to degrade very quickly in the weather. See the attached picture. Conclusion: There is no reason to waste money on this tarp with its super exaggerated claims of thickness (5mil vs actual 1.25 mil), poor weave (4/in vs the claimed 5/in), non existent puncture resistance and extremely high price when there are so many other less expensive tarps that do meet the manufacturers claims. Actually this product should be pulled from shelves until the correct information is provided. ... show more

  • Great for covering outdoor equipment
Item Package Quantity: 1
For me, the winter has arrived. With heavy rains and winds, some of my equipment, tools, and BBQ grill needed some extra protection to weather the storms. This tarp happened to be the perfect way for me to cover up some of my items. The material seems strong and sturdy. Out of the box, there aren't any rips or anything (and didn't expect any). The tarp will need to be anchored down through the grommets someway so it doesn't fly off. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive tarps
Item Package Quantity: 1
These aren't super mega strong or anything but as far as cheap tarps go, they're great! Keep rain and dust out unless you're drenching...it will eventually leak through afterall. Rip resistant, its well woven and resists punctures, which is great since I'm using it to secure loads of sticks. The corners are nicely reinforced ... show more

  • Good for the price
Item Package Quantity: 1
I live in Florida and with all the rain we get and the hurricanes I like to keep spare tarps on hand. Actually, I think it’s a good idea to have tarps on hand no matter where you live. They’re handy for camping, outdoors stuff and just covering things up. At $13 for a tarp this size and thickness it’s a good deal. I can’t attest to the durability but honestly my expectations aren’t great. That’s because I haven’t had good luck with ANY tarp in the Florida sun and rain over time. This one is fairly thin so keep that in mind if you’re wanting something heavier duty or that might last longer. But for a spare tarp to keep on hand for sudden use this one is a good deal. ... show more

  • LIGHT Duty Tarp - Not At All Heavy Duty
Item Package Quantity: 1
I recently got a number of tarps recently for our 3/4 acre property and while I've been through MANY tarps in my life (having had a small farm and also used to have a Garden Maintenance business) I never really looked at what made the difference between the different weights/"duty" labels. Well, having them all together I'm more educated and can pass on what I've learned. Several things to into how "heavy duty" a tarp is. First off, this is 5ml. They call this "heavy Duty" when in fact it's a LIGHT DUTY tarp. Heavy duty tarps are more lik 12ml or so thick. Another thing that helps with the strength is the "weave count". These tarps are actually made of woven Polyethylene. This Light Duty tarp has an 8x8 weave. A Medium Duty that I have has 8x10 "threads" per inch and my Heavy Duty tarps have a 14x14 weave count per inch. Finally, you have the distance between grommets. This one is about 36" between grommets while my best tarp is 18" so I can really tie it down and keep the wind from getting under it. This is the kind of tarp I use for short, temporary cover jobs where they won't be beated up by wind and weather too long. For the price, it's ok. Marked down to 3 stars as this is FAR from being a Heavy Duty tar. If I have any issues with it I'll come back and update. ... show more
