I have a vacation house in Truckee and was told by a fire inspection that I had to cover my wood with an ember resistant tarp because it was so close to the house. Wow! Could really feel the difference between this tarp and a regular tarp.

    • WAY off on size - and its not mentioned anywhere in the listing.

Pros: These are sturdy and provide sun/wind block. Quick return shipping (explained later). Cons: When the package arrived, I found a label on one of the canvas - it said "Cut-Size 6'x8'" (Before I opened it, I was a little worried I may have lost an inch or two). When I opened it up and put the tape measure to the test, I became very disappointed. You see, I ordered four 6'x8' canvases... I received four 5'4"x7'4" canvases. An inch here or there, no problem... eight inches though??? The seams on each end don't even measure up to 4" each! Doing some quick math, I realized I was shorted 1280 square inches (19% of my total canvas size). Multiply this by 4 (number of canvases I bought) and you get 5120 square inches, which is more than an entire 5'x7' canvas (5040 square inches). I decided to email the makers, saying that I was sent the wrong sized canvas and expected 6'x8'. They quickly sent me a return label and a new shipment of four 6'x8' canvases. Upon arrival, I received four identical canvases - confirming that they're sizes are constantly severely shorted. I read through the item details, and found nothing that mentions "cut size" or "real size" to help buyers get an estimate of how they're canvas will ACTUALLY fit when it arrives. Essentially, they're selling sizes without specifying what the actual size is - and labelling it "cut size" after it arrives. A little advice to consumers - don't buy from these guys until their reviews reveal that they're consistently sending a legitimately sized item, or until they give real dimensions on the canvas you'll receive. ... show more
