it's the kind of tarp that would survive a war Army type tough! Seriously, are you sick of buying a tarp and then having it disintegrate in a year or two? I am. I hate putting microplastics into the world, so I thought I would try this canvas tarp.I am glad I did. It is heavy as heck, won't blow away, not some flimsy plastic spewing microplastics as it ages!

I use this as a curtain on my sliding patio door to block the sunlight. it works pretty well and makes it DARK inside my house now. which is good because I have a projector for movies and the new darkness opens up more hours of daytime to be able to watch movies on the big screen. there is a smell. a bad smell. I am guessing some sort of treatment used on the canvas to protect it. i had to hang it outside for a few days but it took weeks to not notice it. if anyone is interested, I used 1/2 inch conduit and 1/2 inch straps to mount it to the wall with some wood spacers and used some inexpensive carabiners that fit around the conduit. I am not a style kind of guy but it doesnt look half bad if I say so myself. I used a bit of synthetic moly bearing grease to help the slide action go. I may get more of these for actual tarp style purposes.

Not durable at all. Ordered this to replace a typical plastic tarp for my utility trailer. Ordered it a bit bigger (9x7) than the 6x8’s I’d been using. Used the bungee cords in the same places as with the cheepo plastic tarps and it ripped on both back corners. Contacted the company and they said they wouldn’t consider this a warranty or manufacture issue because it seems I applied too much pressure to the corners—the same pressure I had applied to the cheap plastic tarps with no tears. I continued using it with the tears and soon found that it leaks…terribly. Of course it leaked at the tears, but I’m talking the whole thing leaks. And to make it worse, whatever they soak these tarps in—that make them smell terrible by the way—turns slimy and leaves a greasy residue over everything you’ve covered with the tarp. I wanted to love this thing. It looks great, has a great weight to it. The brass grommets seem super tough and durable. But it’s sucked. It stinks, leaks, and rips terribly easily.

within a week of installation on an outdoor steel frame, many of the grommets had ripped through the fabric - AND the dimensions were way off. It was claimed to be 18' wide which I figured would adequately cover my 15' roofing requirement, but it fell at least 3' short of the 15' needed.

It was super stiff when I received it, and difficult to work with. It SMELLS BAD for some reason. Like citronella oil or something. So, I ran it through the wash, twice. Dried it, and the color faded allot, and it still stinks. I'm trying to air it our to see if it is salvageable. Otherwise, it seems to be canvas. That's all I can say about it. It's a somewhat cheep, smelly, faded, not water resistant tarp.

Love these tarps! I have 3 of various sizes. Heavy gauge canvas with waxed weatherproofing impregnated into the material. Use them on my trailers and as a camping fly. They fold nicely, are much less noisy than the plastic woven tarps from Harbor freight etc. They don't degrade quickly in the sun, tear after one use or have to be fought with to fold neatly Grommets are good quality but would like them closer spaced.(My Preference) Home Depot, Lowes, Harbor Freight plastic tarps do not compare in any way if you want reliable, reusable performance get these. Costs more for one but you'll save money cause you wont be buying multiple crummy tarps that don't hold up over time.
