This is my 6th year building a rink in my backyard. Truth be told - I have always used a kotap tarp with lots of success. When the kotap tarp on Amazon was unavailable this year, I chose this one. So far I am happy with this tarp. It already passed the first test and filled with water perfectly (no pin sized holes). The next test will be once the ice freezes & teenagers start playing hockey - hoping it is as durable as the kotap was. Bought the thickest, silver and black underneath, hoping the silver would add too the primitives UV resistance. Installed as a temporary cover for a tarp roofed building in mid February. May 10 I received photos from the airport manager showing me my shredded roof. Wasn't even summer - it's been cloudy and cold for months. NOT recommended if you want a tarp to last. I've had a camo Harbor Freight one covering some cartons of copper gutter in the back yard for at least 15 years and it's still functional. ... show more

I have purchase the Harbor freight tarps, got tired of the sizes getting shorter and shorter. I have a 20 ft long carport not a 19ft 4" carport. Nice quality , the metal eyelets looked to be reinforced much better than the cheap Harbor Freight. Thicker material. Just recieved. the12'x12' tarp. The green tarp color is medium range and looks good. The tarp will be used to wrap outdoor furniture . The color will add some green to the few evergreen shrubs over the winter months. Aside from the color the high quality UV Resistant, Rip and Tear Proof, hem and grommets construction and 7 mil thickness should add value over time. It is too early to rate weatherability and how seasonal UV, freez, warm cycles affect the tarp. ... show more

The quality of the tarp is good from what I can tell so far. But I ordered the 6x8’ size and it is very much NOT true to size. The longest side is about 7 feet. I’m very disappointed because I measured for it to fit something larger than 7 feet and now I cannot use it for it’s intended purpose. Please be honest about sizing! I bought the Tarpco Safety Heavy Duty 7 Mil Tarp Cover, Waterproof, UV Resistant, Rip and Tear Proof, Poly Tarpaulin with Reinforced Edges for Roof, Camping, Patio, Pool Cover, Boat (White 12′ X 20′). What I got was a paper thin, white see-through tarp that was not the quality I expected from the photo. For the price I could have purchased a Harbor Freight tarp that was much thicker and UV resistant. My bad - I purchased it to cover my sailboat (mast up) and was planning on modifying it for this use with additional grommets and seam support. Because it is so thin (like a trash bag) I expect it to self-destruct in a few weeks of wind. I don't recommend this product because the picture does not match what I received. ... show more

I bought this tarp to replace an existing one. I use it to keep heavy rain out of an outdoor stairwell leading into the house. This is quality tarp, sturdier than the one it replaced. The green one blends in with the yard nicely. Very satisfied-well priced- does the job effectively.

    • How do I know it's 7 mil?
The label that came with my tarp does not say anywhere on it that it is 7 mil thick, not like the label on the Amazon photo, that has a big "7 mil" in the upper right corner. Why does my tarp label not show that it is 7 mil, like in the picture? The tarp also came with another paper telling me to call them first, if there is a problem. But I bought this from Amazon, so I will ask questions through them. ... show more
