  • Works great, very small Works great, very small
Style: TL - 1500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
This project started when I saw a 4 channel amp at a thrift store for cheap. However one of the channels did not work so in to the trash with that. I had already purchased 4 4” speakers so decided to look for a 3 channel amp. The sub channel runs 2 15” speakers I bought when I was kid 53 years ago. They still sound good. They are wired together at 4 ohms. The box is a bass reflex type with the speakers mounted at an angle. The 4” speakers are in a two chambered sealed box and wired to 2 ohms. This little amp is perfect for this set up. It has a bass boost that I don’t need to use. Plenty of bass. The terminals are small but you don’t need heavy gauge wire for this so it works. There is no level control so you will need a inline level control for your input. I’m running mine about half but it’s in a 2006 Ford Ranger so it doesn’t take a lot to fill it with sound. I have a slight ground hum that can only be heard when nothing is playing. I will add a filter. This amp was perfect for my budget set up! ... show more

  • Powerful Amp in a small size
Style: TL - 1500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
Impressive power for the size of the amp. Great price all in one, easy to install with minimal connections and set up. Very loud and powerful.

  • Goofy little amp but performs well
Style: TL - 500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
Install was easy and this tiny little amp really impressed me. Search for this thing on YouTube and watch the Williston audio labs video review. It's great. Long story short the amp does not make rated power. 22 per channel at 4 ohms, 38 per channel at 2 ohms. These numbers are from the video I mentioned. When I saw that I was concerned because according to the manufacturer my head unit makes more power. Turns out that head unit made no where close to its 25 watts because this amp was an huge improvement over the head unit alone. The speakers that on the amp are only rated for a true 35 watts. If you have some giant magnet 6.5s don't expect miracles. Buy with confidence. It's a good product. It's actually amazing that it is so small and performs so well. ... show more

  • Reliable Bang for your buck, Budget system power, but they need to be paired with a Subwoofer...
Style: TL - 500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
Great little amps that deliver some real power and punch ! A few things you should know about these, They do shy of rated power, they put out around 30 to 35 watts Rms, a little more depending on how your speakers are wired Ohm wise, and how many volts your feeding them, They power mids and highs at 2 ohms the best, They struggle to produce watts with Bass, They say full range here on Amazon, but they are actually rated 80hz to 20,000, Not 20 to 20 like most larger amps, But they do Mid Bass from 80 up just fine, nice and punchy, but again on Mid bass they will produce a few less watts then on mids and highs, They don't suck much power either, I have 2 TL-500's running my 3in mids and my 1in tweets in custom A pillars, running off a 20 amp fuse tap in my daily drive work truck for well over a year now with no problems, they have been super reliable, and I listen loud for long drives in the Arizona Heat, with these burried in my dash. I have more powerfull amps running my Mid bass and subs, and these keep up just fine. I would think they would be great for any kind of Boom Box / Blue tooth speaker type build as well.. They sound Very clean above 150Hz full range, and pretty nice for mid bass alone, butt if you ask them to do full range, they struggle a little with the bass, they will do it, but the sound quality suffers a bit.. Oh Yeah, and the Measurments on here are all wrong, They are like 4in by 4in, by 3/4 of an inch thick, They take speaker level inputs, So you can wire 2 of these directly to the Iso wire harness output on the back of a cheap Android Auto head unit, and fit them right in the dash behind the Radio no problem, As long as you also have a sub of some sort ( even a little under seat one ), You are golden for a inexpensive, beefy little system, I had them running a $30 set of Hyanka 6.5 speakers for a while, and they sounded suprisingly good with a little EQ work.. ( The 10in Hyanka Under seat Sub is a legit buy as well ) ... show more

  • Compact, easy and exactly what I needed
Style: TL - 500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
The headunit in my Dakota with the base model stereo didn't have much output, so when I replaced the rear speakers with 5x7 Infinity refence coaxails and front door speakers with 6.5 skar mids it didn't get to very high volume before distorting. Already have a underseat sub so didn't have room for a full size amp, and didn't wanna add significant power draw. Bought two, one for rear channel and one for front. These things are TINY, no bigger than your hand and can run on 16ga power wire. They significantly add power to my system without distortion. The 80hz low frequency response also works as a crossover to let my sub handle the bass and not distort my mid/high range speakers. This is the perfect amp if you have a lower output headunit and want to drive your mids and highs. Totally recommend. The only thing I dislike was the wire terminals are very shallow and makes it a pain in the butt, other than that all is positive ... show more

  • Meh Meh
Style: TL - 500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
Not bad for the price, i like the thought of the auto turn on feature. But it's a bit laggy. I used the amps, one for each of the front doors, and when the car starts my rear speakers play before my fronts do. When I play the stereo loud it sounds raspy like a typical Brazilian amp.

  • Great value. Easy way to save an OEM/stock radio
Style: TL - 500 Pattern Name: Amplifier
Got original 1999 Ford truck radio working again! Most difficult part was releasing radio retaining clips to slide the radio out. Hookup of the amp was simple and it is compact enough to easily hide under the dash. Sounds great.
