I have been into car audio for over 30 years. I was replacing a $1200 Kicker KXA 2400.1 with this amp, the Taramps - The Big Boss 3. I watched a Youtube video by Williston Audio Labs that showed it was actually under-rated and I trust his videos so I bought it. I am running two 15" American Bass Elites in a ported box tuned at 35Hz at 1 ohm. The amp was under $300 and sounds as good, produces more power, is much smaller, and is slamming my two 15" American Bass Elite subs harder than my old $1200 Kicker amp! I am super impressed! Trust me. I've been through a ton of different amps over the years and if I am telling you this amp is legit, you can believe it! Just make sure you have the big three upgrade to your vehicle before installing an amp this powerful (alternator, 0 gauge OFC copper wire, and a good enough battery or batteries). ... show more

This amp is amazing. I finally got my 12 twelves to run right with this amp and my Jeep hits hard now. I don't love that the lights on it stay on the entire time, which during the day is fine because I don't see it but at night it reflects off the rear window and it's distracting.

I ordered this for someone international and they sent this with no manual, no wire. This is basically a junk. Unfortunately it’s too late to return since return window closed.

    • 7k Dynamic! It slaps!
Taramps once again using some weird 2ga or 1 ga size wire input, and different sized allen keys, and slightly noisy fans, but once again delivering the slaps for a bargain. When you push it really hard, the red protect light flickers a bit, which means the amp is really at it's limit, tickling the protection circuit. Of course at this level, the clip light is pretty much steady on every decent note. And that dynamic power, you can tell it's a bigger amp toned down and regulated.     • Amp is powerful. But internal cooling fans ain’t it
Original amp blew within a few months even being tuned very low for subwoofer break in. Turned out to be faulty MOSFET internals. Of course Amazon was no help through the warranty process with their typical “contact the seller” solution. Seller helpful as far as giving Taramps contact info but would be nice if they would handle manufacturer footwork being as a paying customer shouldn’t have to jump through hoops on warranty issues. Taramps customer service was top notch despite a couple minor hiccups initially and their repair shop’s communication and sense of urgency was/is lacking. They did me solid with a brand new replacement. It’s imported so customs process was slow but that’s hardly their fault. All in all, very powerful but the internal fans are sus. I’m content but will likely shop other brands next time. ... show more
