Never cared enough to actually measure, but the cutting edge isn’t 12”. But that aside, it cuts decent for now anyways. It’s a cheap saw for small tasks, not for heavy yard work. I keep mine in my hunting pack in case I need to prune away small branches that block my field of view while hunting.

It's fall and time to cut back branches and limbs. I needed a saw small enough to get in between some branches of a Pomegranate and Olive trees I'm trimming back. This saw did the trick. It's sharp enough to take on 4-6 inch branches quite easily. The safety button is there to open and close the saw. The blade locks into place which is a great safety feature. It also folds into the handle quite easily. There's a hole at the end of handle where you can attach a wrist strap or a loop to hang it up. The thermoplastic rubber handle is quite comfortable which provides for a good grip. ... show more

Excellent saw for the price! I pruned so many branches that my garden looks kind of bare, but it will all spring back better now. Works great, doesn't stick or jump when cutting.

    • Teeth will cut the Lanyard when folded for storage
The media could not be loaded. The teeth protrude into the Lanyard hole when folded up for storage, it will cut the Lanyard. Small design flaw, blade is decent for a back pack saw.

I actually had to remind myself what I was doing as cutting with this was such a breeze! I wouldn't use it in larger projects, but it's easy cutting on small or medium sized limbs. I got it on a promotion but knowing what I do now, I would have paid full. I am happy with this purchase!
