Make sure your subs can handle this kind of power when on upgraded electrical. I blew out 2 700 dollar subs back to back in very short time. Thing puts out more than 5k watts rms at 1 ohm. Great amps for the price just to much for what I needed. Will be getting a smart 3k instead!!

It's all about how you set it up... I'm not gonna go compete with an Amp that is 5k watts for less than 500$. If you do... you are ridiculous! Everyone bothers me when they try to wire down to .5ohm and max the output of their Amp. You don't drive your car 120mph everyday, why run your Amp like that? But I have this Amp running DAILY with no issue, I have a 150a alternator, regular battery up front, titan8 lithium battery in the back. Got 2 Soundqubed HDX3 12" wired down to 4ohm, drawing 3k watts consistently! My car slaps and sounds clean! This Amp is small and lightweight, best amp i have had especially for size, weight, and price... Thanks Taramps!

These blow up with bad power supply which is why i run a high output alternator with 2 main batteries and 2 ultra caps yet. one is working 'for now'. And the other shorted internally been waiting on shipping it back longer then i got to use them. They sound more muffled then other brands of amps even similarly priced like orion. Clip light is a neat feature ig. For the price its to be expected but a shame even the new line of taramps has its issues. Had to update to 1 star. 2nd amp blew up 2 months after ordering. Havent had them since march 5 and as of may 1st both of them have stopped functioning. Save your money and buy anything else. Brazilian garbage

This is an amazing piece of Brazilian workmanship that has lots of power, therefore requires lots of power. On your checklist before installing this amp should be a "big 3 upgrade" and extra batteries along with lots of 1/0 ofc cable. If you don't know what these things are for I suggest you take your vehicle to a professional installation shop and I promise you will not be disappointed. Every bit of 5k rms and more ! I received the smart 5 bass and am very happy so far. We will see what happens next.

Still in the break in point, have it on two 12” skar Evils but it’s it’s not turning my doors and windows into liquid kind of disappointing about that not sure if it’s the installer or the sub speakers got a wait till the breaking point is over, they say not to turn up the boost mine was completely off I turn it on less 1/4 night over day now my windows flex

The media could not be loaded. Amp is amazing, I had a bit of a hiccup at first because the first amp I purchased was defective. It never shut off, the fans were constantly on which was causing my battery to drain. I contacted amazon about this and they sent me a replacement right away and everything has been working perfectly fine on this new amp ever since. If it weren’t for that this review would’ve been a 5 star. These amps are power hungry so make sure you use the right wiring and do an upgrade on your electrical system. When my car is off and im blasting music my voltage drops like crazy but thanks to the smart feature of this amp it automatically shuts it off until my voltage picks back up. If you install them right nothing will happen, dont listen to the online critics, ive owned nothing but taramps and they’ve never let me down. Absolutely love them. Definitely the best on the market for the price.

I was running a bass clef 6k and it smoked out on me. I got the smart 5 because I hard a a lot of good things about it. It definitely delivers the power and build quality is actually better then I thought it would be. Best bang for your buck. And the sq is just as good as my bass clef
