I was glad to see this filter cartridge offered on Amazon now. I purchased the purifier a couple of months ago, and at the time there wasn’t a refill available yet, so it was a bit of a risk, but the replacement cartridge is perfect and just in time for the recommended replacement period. For the price, it’s a real bargain to get the HEPA filter with activated carbon. Everyone in my family has been spending so much more time in the house, and my youngest child has allergies and asthma, so it’s a real comfort to have a good filter not just cleaning dust and pollen, but also removing fumes and other chemicals from the air. Like I said, the filter is an exact match/copy of the original which worked very well for the last few months in a 400 sq.ft. Room. The room is a little bit bigger than the recommended area for the filter, but it still makes a difference, especially with the pollen. Replacing the filter takes just a few seconds; you remove the bottom cover from the purifier, take out the old one, and replace it with the new one. One thing you can do to prolong the life of the cartridge is to periodically clean it with compressed air (outside obviously). I use my compressor to gently restore it from time to time, and I also clean the enclosure while I’m at it. ... show more

    • Months more of silent usage
This is a HEPA air filter replacement for the larger TaoTronics unit. We keep this filter operating 24/7 in the bedroom on night/silent mode. I have it on an energy monitoring outlet and the device on this mode uses around 14 watts (the dirtier your air the harder it will work!). So it's using a 3rd of the energy of one incandescent bulb. In this mode of operation, in a clean house I can get between 3 and 4 months out of this filter before it needs replacement. At this price, to do this much, so quietly - this filter is fantastic. I have one request, make these in 3 packs TaoTronics! A multi-pack on this one, on subscribe and save, would take care of multiple rooms all year round. It's a perfect device to just leave running in a child's room on night mode - but only if you keep getting the filters. I think TaoTronics have created a significantly better filter product here than competition - with the cylindrical design versus the series of flat sheets that end up with louder/bigger units with less square feet per hour of filtering power. These filters are the best. They do a masterful job of "cleaning" the air. For me, I get my best results from my TaoTronics. this is a replacement filter for an the TaoTronics Air Purifier, TT-AP005 i bought for my open space living room. the air purifier is great for keeping our living room air circulating and free of dust and most nights the smell of cooking. the HEPA filter fits perfectly and is very easy to change out. there is no specific top or bottom and it slides into place without any additional tools. I have had experience with other air purifiers with replacement HEPA filters that require extra or specific tools and a manual to explain the process. it was always a task to keep the instructions and the tools in one place when the filter needed changing. there is also a convenient indicator light the illuminates once the filter needs to be changed out. I'm not sure if this is a timed indicator or if there is a gadget inside but it is a helpful tool nonetheless. noise level is super low and most days I forget that the purifier is even on! ... show more

Taotronics instructions indicated that the average filter will last for 3-6 months based on usage and environment, so we thought it made sense to get a replacement/spare filter for our Taotronics air purifier. The filter arrived from Amazon within a week. It was well supported by air pillows and was in a very substantial box. The filter was also securely sealed in a plastic bag to keep it clean. The filter was really easy to change. After 3 months on the bar at the entrance to our kitchen the original filter looked quite good, maybe a little less white compared to the replacement, but still very usable. We usually run the air purifier on the automatic settings, but increase the fan speed to medium or high when frying or roasting in the kitchen. So far the HEPA filtering and air purification has been impressive. We tried the new HEPA filter out in the unit, and it fits perfectly. We will wait to change the filter until it is needed, though. ... show more
