We have two dogs and three little kids, so clean air is a big deal for me. This purifier has been amazing. You can actually see it working with the display, which is super satisfying. It’s quiet, not too big, and does a great job, even during the wildfires we’ve had recently. It also helps a ton with cooking smells, which is a nice bonus. The best part for me is the 5-year filter! Not having to worry about changing and buying new ones all the time totally sold me. So worth it!

I looked and researched air purifiers for a couple weeks after our old one quit performing. I kept coming back to this Shark and bit the bullet and paid the $300 for it. After the first day of running it, I had zero regrets! It works perfectly! We have it in our living room which is off of our kitchen and we keep it on AUTO. When we’re cooking, the Shark will drop from 100 where our air was clean, the fan will kick up a notch or two, depending on how low the numbers went, and it really will clean the cooking orders out! We have allergies and this has helped a lot! We own a home that is over 100yrs old and I used to go around the house dusting all the time and I notice there’s barely any dust on my furniture. I also notice if I spray Febreze air freshener or fabric refresher that the Shark senses it and will kick on and suck my air freshener out. lol I love Scentsy and their wax melts so when I use the one that is closest to the Shark I will just turn the air purifier off for a while because it will sense it and drop to yellow or even red and kick the fans on and clean the nice smell right out of the living room where I have that one sitting. Not complaining, but sometimes I like to smell my Scentsy! Also, there’s different speeds that the fan will run on and even on the highest speed it’s not loud at all. My house has never smelled so clean. We have two 70lb boxers and it has helped tremendously with having pets. When I’m gone for hours and come home, I notice that I don’t smell any signs of owning a dog when I walk into the house and my husband said the same thing when he came home from work the first night we owned it. There’s a light up ring around the numbers on the front that will be green when it’s clean, turn yellow when it’s getting bad and turn red when it’s really bad. We leave ours on AUTO so we don’t have to do anything, the Shark does the air cleaning for us. The never change filter is huge plus! Those filters can be so expensive so it’s nice that we don’t have that expense a couple times a year! The only thing that I’d say would be a “con”, if you want to call it that, and we honestly don’t even care about it, is that air freshener thing on top of the machine. We have never smelled anything come from that and I doubt we will buy new replacement neutralizer cartridges for it. I don’t see the point of it. I don’t see, or smell rather, where it does anything. I hope I covered everything and my review helped you make a decision on your purchase. I’m just an ordinary person with pets and an older home that PAID $300 for this machine and did not receive it for free to write a review like others do with stuff. My review is just our honest opinion that I wanted to share because we like it so much. It works GREAT! Better than any air purifier that we have owned in 30yrs. If you’re looking to buy a new air purifier for your home, I highly recommend this Shark! We sat the empty box in the office and thought we would hold on to it for the 30 days that we have to return something to Amazon just in case we didn’t like it but we threw it away the first week we used it.

I don’t write love letters to appliances… but if I did, this Shark air purifier would be the main character. I keep the 650 sq. ft. unit in my bedroom, and I can’t stress this enough: it’s amazing. Like, how-did-I-live-without-this amazing. I’m a home cook who loves to pan fry and occasionally burn things with my air fryer, so the air in my house gets real. But the second this thing senses even the slightest shift in air quality, it kicks into high gear. Auto mode is where the magic lives, I don’t touch a thing, it just knows. 🦈✨ What really got me was the first time I styled my hair. The purifier went bright red. 🔴 I thought it was broken. Nope! it was reacting to my hair products and heat styling. Which frankly, is terrifying but also kind of iconic. It knows things I don’t want to know, like how much air pollution I cause just by existing. And during wildfire season on the West Coast? This thing is a superhero. 🦸♀️ The air quality dips, and the purifier responds instantly. The fan ramps up, the lights shift, and I can actually feel the difference. It’s dramatic in all the right ways. The fact that the filter lasts five years? That’s the cherry on top. 🍒 I don’t have to subscribe to anything, order replacements, or even think about it. I just wipe down the outer screen once in a while, and that’s it. Easy, free, and low-maintenance, which is exactly my vibe. And despite all the heavy lifting it does, it’s whisper quiet. I’m a light sleeper, and even on high settings, it doesn’t bother me. The lights dim too, so no glowing spaceship effect at night. 🌙 Just clean, quiet air while I sleep. I loved it so much, I bought the larger 1400 sq. ft. version for downstairs. No hesitation. This thing sold me on Shark for life. Is it cheap? I have had a ton of different brands of air purifier and the downside was always buying new filters. With this unit you really don't have to worry about that anymore. I suffer from mostly molds and mildews, but lately seasonal allergies have been bugging me. I got one of these and put it in the bedroom, it's quiet enough for me to sleep with and it keeps the bedroom air fresh at all times. Even when there is smoke from cooking or the like in the rest of the house, the bedroom air is always very clean, and you can see the effects very clearly with the LED readout and color-changing display. The unit is large enough to cover the bedroom area of the house, and I am planning a second for the living room. Works very quickly, effectively and I would highly recommend. I would like to disclose a little bias in that I have been a Shark brand fan for many, many years, so I tend to gush a bit.
