  • Great Air Purifier!
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
The 2111iMax works great! It removed food odors quickly and pollen from my home when someone had a window open. It is quiet on setting 2 which is what i have it on all the time. I like the light dimming feature, the lights can also be turned off, the touchscreen, sleep and auto mode. I love that it's AHAM Verifide: CADR 450 cfm Pollen, CADR 452 cfm Dust, CADR 435 cfm Tobacco Smoke at 674 sq. ft. The air purifier was packaged well and arrived without damage. Setup was easy but I do wish there was a way to connect the wifi without entering my wifi password such as pairing. The warranty is very good compared to most other companies. One year is included and after you register the Blue Pure Max Series air purifier on the Blueair website, they provide an additional two years. A three year warranty is decent compared to some other companies. I have had other brands of air purifiers that stopped working at the one year mark right after the warranty expired. ... show more

  • Excellent Air Purifier!
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
Pros - Packed well. Arrived undamaged. - Started right up. - Easy WFI connection. - Easy to control via phone app. Can start it up in advance of bedtime, for example. - Easy program via the app for different on-off periods, and speeds for various times of the day or the week. - Control lights can be turned off, yet the unit can still run as directed. Good for the bedroom. - Very quiet at the lower speeds. - Display show air quality very well. - The air actually feels more clean. Really. - In my case, my allergies are down since I started using this. Hard to know if this is one of the reasons. But, it seems likely. - Quality seems very high. Cons - Have not identified any cons yet. Reliability is TBD, for example. Summary - I would recommend this product! ... show more

  • 10/10!
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
Super quiet. Great app with easy controls. Easy to set up and connect to Wi-Fi.Extremely effective machine! I was sweeping an unfinished basement with the purifier nearby. The particle count spiked rather high (as expected) and within a handful of minutes it cleaned the air and was back to reading zero particles across all 3 measured sizes. This thing is absolutely amazing. ... show more

  • Good buy! Highly recommend

Great product. Love the night feature that turns the lights off. Air feels much cleaner and the low hum is nice white noise.

  • Filters air quickly, sensors seem quite accurate despite reviews that state otherwise
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
This review is for the BLUEAIR 211i Max (large room, 3048 sq ft) Primary reason for the purchase...dust. A film of dust always seems to end up everywhere, mostly because of vacuuming area rugs, lint from blankets in the room, and a wood pellet furnace in the basement that heats the whole house during the Winter. The 211i boasts 4 layers of filtration, HEPA/AHAM certified, and can filter up to 3200 sq ft worth of air within an hour. My home is approximately 2500 sq ft, 2-story. I would say the filter makes a noticeable difference especially on the first floor. Less dust settling on surfaces, and it deodorizes the air fairly rapidly when cooking. No one smokes inside the home, but in order to test the sensors, my wife lit up a cigarette briefly from another room, then headed outdoors, so only a trace amount of smoke would permeate the air from a distant room. Within a minute or two, the PM2.5/PM1/PM10 readings shot up from 0 to over 50 (which is polluted air), and the fan could be heard ramping up inside the unit. That proved the sensors were responsive and quite sensitive. About 35-45 minutes later, the readings returned back to 1, then to 0, demonstrating that the unit circulates and filters the air inside the home rather quickly. When cooking, the sensors also go on the uptick and the fan ramps up. Despite what the other reviewers have posted about the sensors, they seem to work surprisingly well. As for noise, on Auto mode, the fan speeds generally stay below 3, and the unit is practically inaudible. Turning the fan up to its max speed, 4, the fan can be heard but even when standing next to the unit, the dB noise level is barely over 50dB, which is about the noise level of an office or library. I've attached a screenshot of the dB measurement, with my phone placed directly next to the unit during measuring for 15 seconds. This is within the advertised specs of 23-53dB. Note that other background noise within the room added to the dB reading, as the room has a humidifier running constantly within it as well. The 211i Max is about the size of a small trash can, so it can be placed just about anywhere. I'd recommend keeping it at least a couple ft away from walls, otherwise the 360° filtration will be somewhat reduced when it's against a wall. The more open the air space, the more effectively the unit will circulate air. When initially taking the 211i Max out of the box and setting it up for the first time, I would recommend running the fan on high (4) for several hours to get a total air cleaning, then flip it to Auto mode and it'll make fan speed adjustments on its own based on air quality. I had zero problems getting the 211i Max onto my Wifi network and going through setup using the Blueair app. The readings generally take a few seconds to show up on screen whenever the app is launched, but the app is very easy to understand and use. Within minutes of connecting to Wifi, the 211i Max updated its firmware and rebooted. Overall the Blueair 211i Max is perfect for a medium to large room, or an entire floor of a 2000-2500 sq ft house. It's very quiet on Auto mode, and the sensors seem highly sensitive to pollutants in the air. Cooking, even trace levels of smoke result in a quick change in PM readings. Highly recommend for allergy sufferers or those who want clean air inside their homes. Docked a star for expensive filters, though they only need to be replaced once a year. ... show more

  • The price will make you blue, but the results will clean away the blues.
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
It cost about $265 with sales tax but it cleans the air space within your home within an hour. It gives the readouts for the different grades of particles in the air, ultra fine, fine and coarse sizes. It is pretty quiet as well. It is not too heavy so pretty easy to move around but you have to grab it by the bottom. It also can operate from your smartphone using the Blueair app. The filters need to get replaced about every six months or so and they are not cheap. This is not a budget friendly machine, but it gives you the results you need and is easy to use. ... show more

  • Highly Recommend, Best in Class, but Has Flaws
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
Best air purifiers I have ever had in my life- so good that I bought one and then another 3 days later and we are going on 1.5 years with 2 now. I am not a freebie or paid reviewer or whatever and I stand behind the 211 as an awesome product. I told my HVAC guy that I didn't think my airflow was right because my filters were almost new looking and he said everything was fine- you're just clean livin'. Nope. Messy as hell and I have 2 rescue cats. That was hilarious. Dust/dander was almost gone and allergies down big time for sure. OK, negatives: their filters are way too expensive especially if you have multiple unit replacements- for sure look into those costs before you buy. The carbon filter layer is very skimpy and probably a marketing tool; I buy filters with 10x more carbon for my cats' litter box and Blue Air needs an improvement here considering the cost of the filter. The app is ok, but I found it to be unnecessary- don't bother if you are app focused. It's loud on its highest level, but level 3 gives a good white noise. One of the 2 units has a fan hum that it didn't start with and that the other doesn't have, so worried about motor longevity. My overall review is that this is the best product in its class and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • BLUEAIR Air Purifiers for Large Rooms, Cleans 3,048 Sqft In One Hour,
Color: Light Grey (Wifi)
I have purchased two of these and overall I like them. It was a little challenging to register the product. I first tried on their website which didn't work right but it allowed me on the app that I had downloaded onto my phone. The units work well and are fairly easy to set up. It works through the app as well as from the unit. Mostly I use the console on the unit if I want to change anything. It doesn't look difficult to change the filters. The inside one is a little pricey if you want the more hypoallergenic filter. However filters seen to last around six months. The controls are easy to use. The hardest thing was to adjust the dimming of the light which was a little tricky before I got it. It is not clear whether to run it on the automatic setting or use the fan for faster air exchange. I find the information offered not that detailed. I have taken to running in on the "2 fan blade" setting (low medium?). My only complaint is about running them on the two higher setting. In both one has a mild "buzzing sound that won't go away. And the other has a mild vibration such as fan bladed not being quite balanced. But since it doesn't really seem necessary to run at the higher speeds, it is not a big issue. At the lower setting it is quiet. Being large they are somewhat unwieldy to move around and as such I bought roller caddy's like for large plants which work well. After a couple of months I decided the one that is noisy and buzzing on the higher setting needed to be fixed or replaced so I contacted Blue air support. The site is pretty confusing for support and after going in circles I decided to try chat support. It seemed pretty good but besides the wanting the serial number and purchase receipt they wanted a video of the problem. I pointed out that the audio on the video might not exactly replicate the natural sound in my room. From what I could tell the buzzing (at a higher treble level) on the video was not as noticeable as in real life. Anyway the rep sent me an email to attach the files to and I sent them in anyway. So I never heard back from them. After a week I sent another email to the rep asking about any update and have heard nothing further since. About a week after this last posting I received a response apologizing for the delay. On reviewing my completed documentation, a few days later I was informed that they would be sending me a new unit to replace the "bad" one and a return authorization and label to return it when the new one arrived. The new unit arrived promptly and did not have the problem of the first one. Since I am very pleased with the outcome I have updated my rating to reflect this. Again my only concern was the delay in response to my submission. Given the outcome I feel I should let it slide. I like the machine well and they stood by it. ... show more
