This thing is amazing. For reference I have the BlueAir 211i. For the past 8 months every morning when I wake up I can what looks like a fog in my living room as the sun comes through the windows. I have a brand new house and I’m sure it’s a combination of new construction dust, and particles from that. I purchased two other air purifiers, swapped out my HVAC filters, opened the doors when I could (Arizona summer heat doesn’t allow you to air it out all the time), and nothing worked. The best air purifier on the market, I do not know how many years I have been using this one. Have one in my room, one in my dorm room, and I have even bought them on occasion for my friends. It is quiet and still effective and decreases the chances of you falling sick, especially if you live on a college campus. We’ve been living in a hotel room with our kids for the past two years due to the rising cost of living, and having clean air in a small space 24/7 is essential. This device has made a noticeable difference in our room’s air quality — we use it constantly. What we love most is the app integration. It alerts you when it’s time to change the filter, gives you updates on your air quality, and even allows you to order replacement filters directly through the app. That kind of convenience is priceless for a family like ours. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to one design issue. Our toddler — who’s almost 3 and full of curiosity — managed to drop a pen into the fan area. It chopped the pen in half and left ink everywhere. While we were able to remove the pen and clean it, the real challenge was getting to the fan mechanism. It required removing screws and disassembling part of the unit, which felt out of place since the rest of the design is very user-friendly. If there’s one suggestion I could offer the manufacturer, it would be to make the fan compartment more easily accessible for maintenance, especially for families with small children. I have 3 dogs in the house (range is limited to 2 rooms) and, despite frequent baths and brushing, was noticing alot of dog hair and excessive dust on the floor and furniture. I have been using this large room air filter for about a month. Setup was simply removing it from the box and plugging it in. It is so quiet I never hear it running at all. I have removed the outer filter once already, handwashed, air dried it and put it back on all with ease. It does such a great job there is very little dust on the furniture, much less dog hair and the air quality indicator always shows the best air quality. Such peace of mind. No problem connecting to our iPhones, I was surprised by the purifier, had used a dry hair shampoo all of a sudden Blueair numbers on recognized particulars in the air rose up.
