this float is really comfortable. the filling mechanism is really easy to use, i love that the air doesn't leak out as soon as you remove the inflator! we used a compressor to fill it and a vacuum to deflate, but the deflate would be easy enough without the vacuum. the material is nice and thick and i love that the bottom is solid so i can fill it with water and use it as a shallow pool to keep cooler. 2 smaller people could lay down comfortably but, as shown in the photo, the float is not very lengthy. for reference i am 5'4". my only other complaint is that in a lot of the advertising pictures 2 people are shown in the float but there is only one cupholder ... show more

First, the cons: The float vinyl is stuck together tightly so be prepared for extra time to handle this slight issue when you get the float out of the box. The vinyl also had an odor. I inflated the float inside; so take it outside. There are different compartments to blow up - and a couple of the caps stick out. The pillow isn't connected and the cup holder is wee snug. I might ditch the pillow. The Pros: I really like the color. Very pretty! While this Original Circle Tanning Pool Float is spacious ,sized at 71x71...what that really translates into is - this float design is great for short people! Nothing wrong with that.. I'm short so this float works perfectly for me. If you are on the taller side, your feet will hang off. If that bothers you, you might want a rectangle float instead. The weight limit is 500lbs so that can be a plus. The float itself is over 7 lbs so it is heavier than a lot of cheaper pool floats. The float is well constructed, with heavier, thicker, quality vinyl. I'm expecting this float will last throughout the summer at the lake without any issues. 2 patches were included as a precaution though. I would choose this float/tanning pool again! I am super impressed with the quality of this float! I needed to replace a few floats lost to the hurricanes and as soon as I saw this one I had to order it! It is huge, but fits my 18’ round pool with plenty of room remaining in the pool. The vinyl is really thick and I can tell it will hold up nicely in my full sun backyard. Easy to inflate and my teenage boys are loving it! ... show more

I'm 5'5" and I fit well, but my feet are on the edge. I use this float as a mini pool for tanning on the patio, and it does work and feels nice. It holds some water, just enough to keep you cool but not so much that it takes forever to warm up int he direct sunlight. I loved that the pillow is completely detached so I can use it anywhere on the float, you sort of have to get the position right for it to really stay where you want while leaning on it but I think it does a great job for being detached. While inflating the outer ring, I noticed that the center part looked flat, just like a kiddie pool does, but then you can inflate the center as much or as little as you want to. The plugs for inflating each part are all different sizes, unfortunately for me all I have is a manual pump for inflatables and none of the attachments were the right size to really get a good inflation. They do have a one-way valve but it's super shallow so you can't stick a nozzle into it, you have to have a flat seal and hold the pump to the plug. While it was a pain to inflate, I enjoyed using it as a tanning pool and it was very comfortable to lay on. ... show more

Things you should know: - Sticky!! Prepare to spend a good amount of time unpackaging this float. It was SO stuck together, that after several minutes of wrestling with it, my husband had to help me. I've never had this problem and I've owned dozens upon dozens of pool floats. -The 2 people in the advertising photo are 4'2" according to my calculations! I am 5'5" and I put my head EXACTLY where the models are, maybe even higher and my feet still hung off the edge. And no one could comfortably lay next to me as shown in the ad, that particular depiction is quite an exaggeration. - There are a total of 3 nozzles; the rim, the center and then one for the separate pillow. The one in the center and the one on the pillow stick out quite a bit and it's a bit of a nuisance. - The pillow does not attach to the raft in any way so it's easy to knock it off, especially when wet, it's kind of a slippery mess. - Regarding the size, even though it's not quite what I had imagined, it's still a decent size and will work for all intended purposes in my particular case. - It's still very large and hefty as I was able to get on it fully clothed without getting wet so it holds a great deal of weight. - The product came with 2 patches, hopefully we won't be needing them. The plastic is pretty thick (and stinky) but I've owned more durable floats as far as material strength. - The original price of this float is a whopping $70 and that's way too high for this product. The sale price of $40 is a lot more reasonable but $30 would be an ideal and fair price in my opinion. I feel 4 stars is rather generous, but 3 wouldn't be fair IMO. I'd give it a strong 3 1/2 stars if I could! ... show more
