My blind kitten loves this toy. He's only 9 weeks . I 've had him for only a week. He was found at my workplace . Vet says he was born 100% blind. Kitten is now starting to play with this toy and he loves it! It takes blind cats a while to map out their surroundings and learn to use their toys, cat trees, etc. He is strictly a housecat. The sturdy, solid wood frame comes apart easily, layer by layer, once you loosen the bottom bolt with the allen wrench (included). Easily adjustable to suit your cat's needs or your own! I keep it in the living room so when my cat wants to play at night, I will hear a soft, charming sound of the bell ringing. It would not be so pleasant if it was in the same room! My cats love these ball toys! They’ve torn up every plastic one I’ve gotten them, and this is so much better. It’s got some weight to it so it doesn’t topple over, the balls are solid so no more annoying bells in the middle of the night, and it’s super sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. It looks like a baby toy and we all love it in my household.

I wanted a toy for kitten that was NOT plastic and this is perfect. Nice quality, comes assembled. Athough it comes with an allen wrench and an extra bell 'ball' so you have the option of inserting that, which is really easy. I did, because our new kitten seems to like the tinkly noise. I may take out the wooden balls and paint them bright colors... they are attractive as plain wood, but not so much to kitty.
