My gas water heater went out and I was flipping out because to replace the tank style water heater was outrageous right here at Christmas! I ordered this thinking it will do until we can afford a new one. I will never spend money on another tank water heater again. We ordered this tankless for around $175 and boy was it worth the money.. a top quality water heater! Even if it only lasts a year I cannot complain! It is worth every penny and more. It doesn’t have to be hard wired for the electric parts which was a plus for us. We already had the venting hole in the wall so that made it easy… I would say if you don’t have the exhaust hole already that would be the only hard step for install. The rest was a breeze to hook up! And since I am getting older not having to get in the floor to figure out what’s going on with a tank water heater is another plus! It automatically turns on when you turn on the hot water. Super hot water.. we have it set on 120 and you can turn it up higher than that but it is not needed. Our water pressure is weird and sometimes low but we haven’t had any issues with not getting hot water so far. Would definitely recommend this water heater.

Water flow is great. Has a hard time heating from 73 degrees to 140. Had a leak inside but i was able to fix it the fittings are not what i expected.

This unit will not handle multiple faucets. It can barely keep up with one shower and the hot water comes out very slow and takes 23 minutes to fill a average size bathtub with 115° water and when you hardly move the handle on the shower for temperature control it drops from 115 down to low 80s and 70° water temperature because the water heater is shutting off and then firing back up. Don’t waste your money by a namebrand.

Was able to get this connected with no issues. I had pex b plumbing prior so I just used that to connect the water. This replaced a 10 gal electric water heater because its now winter and solar energy is scarce. So far so good. Ill check back in on its performance in a few months. Badically hot water is pretty much instant and im happy with this heater. Was able to mount it with no issues. I used a wall thimble i had for a previous off grid project that I never used. One thing I will add. When we first purchased this heater, it stated it was amazon returnable within.39 days. When we checked back, the return status changed so keep an eye on return options at the time your purchase if you think you may have issues or this isn't the right unit for you.

Its not compatible with an upward vent. You will need to have it vented out thru a wall. Wasn't expecting that. Otherwise its been a great purchase so far.

Bought this in February of this 2026. It is now June of 2026 and... the water heater has a pinhole leak in the top right copper coil tube. So I will repair it and keep using it, but this is unsatisfactory. That's only 3-4 months of use before failure. My water is soft, I have a tea pot I boil tap water ( I am on a deep well ) every day for coffee. In 7 years there is still almost no calcium build up in or around the tea pot, so I know the water is not the issue. And pressure is fine too, as I have a regulator installed to ensure consistent pressure.

I've used this for a week in an off grid cabin. It will raise the water temp from 32 f to 116 f and not all instant hot water heater can do that... It lights every single time consistently. The water temp stays absolutely stable......Seems extremely reliable!!!!! 5 stars!!!!
