I bought this for an outdoor shower that only had cold water. The family was always complaining about no hot water, but for the amount it would have cost and the effort needed to run a separate hot water line, I didn't want to do it. So after some searching around, I found this little beauty, and it is a game-changer. Small compact size that works like it is the size of a full-size water heater. The build quality is excellent, a very solid unit that will last for years. Very simple to hook up (one line in, one line out & plug it into an outlet). You can switch between farenhiet or Celsius if you want to. The absolute best part of this unit for me is the low price. I am so happy I found this unit, and it performs so well, I now get the why didn't you do this sooner line! These heaters are a perfect addition to my bathrooms in order to preheat the water coming in so I don't have to wait to get warm water before I use the sink! Don't get me wrong, these don't get exceptionally hot, but you can't expect that for their power rating and how small they are. Besides, that's not necessarily what they are even intended for. They are actually impressive for what they are. They have a temperature display on the front that measures the temperature of water exiting the unit. Very nice. Without these, it takes roughly an entire minute for the water to run hot in several bathrooms in the house. With this, I can easily get comfortable water out of the tap all but instantly, and then when the hot water finally reaches the bathroom, it can cut back. They have good flow as well, so I don't notice any large decreases in flow from before. I appreciate that since I have had some units before that restricted flow considerably. This unit is also very easy to install, although it doesn't use fittings I had in my house by default, so I had to adapt it some ways. Not an issue at all. Overall, as a supplimentary water preheater, these are amazing units. They aren't that pricey either. Very happy. ... show more

Finally got this installed, works really well, did not restrict the water flow at all, it heats up within a few seconds. I use it to boost the heat in my rv so I can take a longer shower with out running out of heat
