There isn't any sound effects of fire, which I prefer but if you wanted it, they make sound effect plug in speakers. The heat output is great and can warm our livingroom up very quickly. Very sturdy and beautiful. Perfect piece for our living room. I love that it actually admits heat in the winter. One thing to keep in mind is that although the fireplace comes with the TV stand, it will come in different packages, possibly on different days. So please don't panic if you don't get them at the same time like I did lol. Definitely a great investment for my house. Me and my family love it. You won't regret it! The assembly was a little difficult related to how many parts there are to put it together but in the end it is the best thing I have purchased for our new space and it really anchors the entire room! The overall product is very nice looking but building this absolutely broke me. The instructions can be very confusing (doesn’t help that the QR code in the instructions has the WRONG VIDEO). Many pieces of this are very difficult to maneuver without another person helping you. While the product is high quality, this one will likely take you hours to assemble. We absolutely LOVE this ! I love the fireplace! you can set the flame on 3 different colors of your choice. A little time consuming to put together, but not hard at all. I did not see in the description that the product would come in two shipments. This was a bit alarming at first. Maybe that could be mentioned in the product description to prevent confusion. Assembly was mostly straightforward. Do yourself a favor and make sure all pieces are there and go over the instructions once before you start. It will take several hours, ... show more

Directions were not great but manageable. This took me a long time to put together....hours. Finished product is very nice. Sturdy and very pleased with the quality. Comes in 2 pieces...heater insert came about 2 days after the cabinet but that was fine as it took me that long to put it together.
