We love this bench. It looks great, wasn't too hard to put together with two of us to coordinate and support the pieces in the process. When we opened it, we saw right away that the center support of the seat had a splintered section that was on the surface facing up. If you sat on it, you'd have a huge splinter in your backside. We checked carefully and don't think it will cause the support to snap but can't be sure, so we took pictures and sent them to the manufacturer in case. We said we would keep the item, but wanted them to know in case that did happen. They sent us a partial refund which we are happy with. We also glued and clamped the splintered area and it looks great.

I bought this product and my bad I forgot to take into account the door wouldn't be able to open. The seller agreed to take it back but I pay shipping. I decided to keep this beautiful bench because it would cost me too much to ship it back I decided to put it on the back patio instead..so, I go to put it together and it's used, scratched, snagged and filthy! Also it's missing half the hardware and what hardware I got doesn't work...its either wrong or stripped. I would, at the very least appreciate if the seller sent me the hardware please and charge me the corrected "used" furniture price. I will update this once the seller responds. Update: sellers graciously responded with a partial refund for damages and will be sending missing hardware. I am completely satisfied with their response and with the beautiful bench. Sincerely.

I sure was happy with this furniture set when i first received it but after using it for only a few months we found that the black ropes are actually multi colored roped with a black coating that rubs off on clothing and skin when touched even lightly. This leaves behind rainbow colored rope. So now I cant use the furniture unless I want to ruin my clothing and the furniture looks terrible. The company offered me $80 back on a $350 purchase. I refused and then they still low balled me at $170. Half of what i paid. Better than nothing but not exactly a full refund for their obviously defective furniture. Not too hard to put together if you align everything before you start tightening screws. Very attractive. Feels sturdy. It is mostly comfortable although for me at 5'1'' I find that the top bar of the seat hits at my shoulder blades and is a bit hard and uncomfortable. I bought some throw pillows to add to them to help with this...hopefully. This might not be a problem for someone taller. maybe the bardo's not hit at a place that is uncomfortable. The seats are also just a little too deep for my short thighs but that happens with almost all seats and sofas. My husband at 6 foot fits nicely. Time will tell how well they hold up in mild winters and scorching summers.

We originally bought this for our front yard, but our sprinkler system and the amount of theft where we live made us change our minds about leaving it in the front yard. We ended up putting it in our office actually and we love how it looks and MY CAT loves laying on it. It's his new favorite piece of furniture. Some of the screw holes were not even remotely lined up when we were assembling, which made some of the screws extremely difficult to screw in, but we made it work. Love it and would totally buy it again.

This bench is very pretty but as I was putting on coats of laquer, I discovered this crack in the wood. My husband says he can fix it but he really shouldn't have to. The bench is not yet assembled but when it is, I will update review with additional photos. Also, there are discolored areas on the rope as you can see in the photos.

This bench has become absolutely unusable. Over the course of the eight months since we got it, it has deteriorated and turned from a beautiful bench that we loved into trash that we are about to put out on the curb. The ropes have completely torn apart and show tons of ware, and the frame has fractured in several places. Because the rope seat is so loose now, it is impossible to sit on without hurting yourself or perching directly on the edge, and after the first month, it began to dig into your back and thighs in very uncomfortable places. It was outside for this whole time, but as a patio chair, I would expect it to be able to last at least a full season. Assembly was fine, nothing to write home about. Terrible value. I would not buy this again under any circumstances.
