Overall, this light is clean design, easy to install, and bright. The biggest problem is the ad says this light has 3 light modes, so I expect that I can switch the modes by using switch but BE AWARE that choosing modes can only be available before you rotate back the light to the ceiling. If you change your mind and want another mode, you have to take the light off and use the switch on the back of the light. ... show more

I have a long dark hallway with a fixture only at one end. I wanted something low profile for low ceilings, super bright, and 5000-plus color temperature. This had all three. The result is natural-looking light flooding the entire length of the hallway. I also added a compatible dimmer switch so I could reduce it during the evenings to a much softer glow. The mounting was fairly easy, but not as flush as would have been preferred. This doesn't really bother me, as it's flush enough for my personal attention to detail. ... show more

I found it a bit tricky to get the light to mount directly against the ceiling - no matter what I did, it floats about a quarter inch away. Not a terrible flaw but something to be aware of. Easy to switch light warmth during install, but the light needs to be dismounted to switch the tone, which technically exposes high power lines and wouldn’t be safe to do on the regular. I don’t find this to be an issue but something to be aware of. Last minor flaw - I’d recommend not using the included wire connectors. They don’t seem to be high quality and actually seem rather dangerous as they don’t hold the wires well. Replace them with higher quality quick connectors or standard twist connectors. I always hated the “boob” style light fixtures in my house. You could see the bulbs and they never looked good to me. Never mind provide them adequate light. I bought these to try. I love the minimalist look that these offer and let me tell you they are bright. Love how easy they are to setup and utilize. My whole house is installed with Lutron Caseta and they work flawlessly with the dimmers. No flicker or faint Hugh. I would strongly recommend if you are looking for a modern spruce up of a room. Recently moved and had a side office/study room with an atrocious dim and rusty fixture that just had to go. Took just about an hour to take the old piece of crap out, completely rusted shut and screwed into random shims in the drop ceiling. This new Taloya light took about 10 minutes (not including time to drill out a hole in the spare ceiling tile and time to figure out which color I preferred). Wanted to upgrade the laundry room, which was on an un-heated back porch. This was the lighting choice when I realized putting in a skylight would double the job. Because it kind of acts like a skylight. Got it on the 3000 K setting, on a dimmer. It's flat to the new ceiling, about an inch deep. The only hassle -- not mentioned in the install -- is you need a third arm to hold the fixture while you twist the wires together before you push them up into the box or hole where they belong. Super easy to install on many styles of electrical boxes. The low profile is perfect for lower ceilings and the modern look worked well in the space. Bought one for a guest bedroom to test it out. After liking the result and multiple compliments I bought two more for other bedrooms. Couldn't go with ceiling fans and wanted smooth lighting, these are perfect and almost look recessed. Have the 15" in all rooms but I think the 12" would have been plenty of light, I wanted the larger size for style preference. They are Very Bright at full strength when using daylight, I installed a dimmer switch and set the lights to warm white for the bedrooms. Some posts stating the light temperature was hard to change look to be different than what I received, all 3 had a simple switch for daylight, cool, and warm which was easy to adjust. But the light did change a couple times if the cord got in the way when twisting into position, not a big issue. ... show more
