I started out looking for a replacement for a stairwell light at my daughter's home that had and LED fixture that stopped working. After looking at lots of reviews and details, I opted to buy two of these. I had an older (1980s) fixture in the entry and our hallway that I wanted to replace, so I decided to start with my own lights. Super easy (some skills are required) to replace, and very happy with them. So, I ordered more to replace two more older fixtures downstairs and then at my daughter's home. I wanted the natural light along with brightness. I am very happy with those. My one note for other buyers is that they work a bit like spot lights. Where previous lights lit up the ceiling too, these shine down like spot lights. For most areas, like stairs, this is great because you are not looking into the bulb. After looking at similar lights in my local home improvement store, I found this one and ordered it. It's much more cost effective and it works perfectly. I just needed something basic for a walk-in closet and this is perfect. It was very easy to install with no issues whatsoever. It's also very bright. If you're looking for a light in a main living area of your home, you might want to look for something that works with a dimmer switch, but if you just need a nice bright light for a closet or utility room, this is perfect. ... show more

We’ve embarked on a lengthy home remodel, and want products for the refresh that are both attractive and priced affordably. We balked at purchasing LED lights at first (with the thought that if they burn out, now what) but after I saw these, I decided to give them a try. The cheapest one I’d found from a big box store was taller, more expensive, and I would have still had to spray paint it to get it black like I wanted, but I figure for the price, it wouldn’t hurt. These lights (with the help of a conversion kit) replaced an ugly can light in our downstairs powder room. It looks great. Low profile, sleek and VERY bright. I bought the two pack to put one in the bathroom and the other in the laundry room, but now I want to pick up another two pack to use elsewhere in the house. Installation was easy and fast. One note: I have mine connected on a (non-dimmer) decorative rocker switch, and there is an ever-so-slight delay when it is turned on. Don't do what I did and assume this fixture has the 3 different light settings that its 12" fixture friend has...This is bright, like really bright cool light. Works for a hall or a laundry room but much too bright and cool for a livable space. If you are looking for a less abrasive light, go for the 12" version. ... show more

My only fault with this LED fixture is that the outter ring is NOT true to advertised color. I would not call it white, it is more of a light beige. I purchased this for my laundry room, so it really won't be noticed, but if this were for a more visible area such as a hallway I would have returned it based on color of the outter ring alone. ... show more

These are great! Easy to install, give off lots of bright light. Almost like having a sunlight in the ceiling. Super curious to see how long they last. They do not have replacement parts, the whole unit will need replaced if it burns out. Worth the risk, in my opinion.
