The media could not be loaded. This little handheld device comes with a lot of games that are similar, although named differently, to many of the games many people played during the Atari age and it's really bringing back fond memories. There isn't any instruction on how to use thr controls as you play so you kind of have to just figure out how it works on your own. I haven't yet played but a couple of games on it, like the kong, a pinball one and another that I forget what it's called but u basically move back and forth along the bottom and hit a little ball as it bounces and breaks the bricks at the top. Might have been called pong back in the day or something, not sure, but it's called something else on this console. I have not yet tried hooking it up to the tv for a larger screen, but I really don't want to as I like the freedom of no wires holding me to one place and the RCA plug that's included is pretty short so you would have to sit pretty close to the screen to get use out of it. Although the games I have tried so far are fun, I am not very happy with any progress I made not being saved. That's a pretty big negative, in my opinion. Also, tere is no led light on the console to let you know it is charging or fully charged so I have no idea if it came charged and will stop working altogether once it depletes, or if it is actually charging. I gave 4 stars because there are a lot of game options in the console and, although the graphics are definitely old school, it's not an issue for me and, really, adds to the nostalgic feel of the individual games that I was accustomed to. ... show more

So many of these bizarro handheld mini-consoles are the same; they're all the same re-skinned games in the same menu in different shells. You expect the same annoying music when you turn it on, and it's some janky version of Super Mario and 500 games that repeat 3 times. This little machine is different! I've encountered romhacks on this that I've never seen before; Adventure Island with Mario. Chip 'n' Dale 2 reskinned with Teletubbies and Pokemon. Just weird stuff that you wouldn't expect to see. Even stranger, a bunch of these games have been specially coded to vibrate the machine like a rumble pak when you get hit or grab a power-up. It's strange and interesting! It doesn't add much more than novelty, but I can appreciate it after seeing so much of the same thing. It's pretty cool on the billiards game. There are "real" games on here too; Magmax, Balloon Fight, Flipull, Spy Hunter - stuff like that. Generally simple stuff. I'm not sure why this is marketed as a gift for kids. Sure, the romhacks feature kid-friendly characters, and it's a very friendly shape, but you also have games like Mortal Kombat (or the really bad 8-bit version of it), Hellfire, Friday the 13th, and other adult-oriented games. And classic games are HARD! This pulls no punches in terms of difficult games - but if you want to give a kid a taste of how hard we had it, here you go. You get soooooo many old school games and the old school style screen we used to play them on as children. You get I think close to 200 games (150 in classic mode and 48 in vibrate mode). The screen clarity and quality is great! This is very easy to use and my toddlers can even navigate it without needing much help. Games are either 1 player or 1 & 2 player options. This is made very durably as well. The only thing that may be slightly confusing for most is we can be use to using the ‘A’ button for a selection option…. But you just keep pushing the round start button as the select option. Once you’re in the game then you can use the other buttons. This charges by USB-C and charges quick and holds a very long charge! This can not be ANY COOLER AND FUN TOY for the incredibly price point. This item is most definitely a WIN!!! ... show more

I like that the battery lasts longer than I thought it would. Also, it has many of the games I like to play as a kid. I deducted 2 stars for 2 main reasons; First, the screen is just too small and my eyes are tired after playing only 30 minutes. 2ndly the direction pad control pad is pretty poor, it doesn't detect my inputs and my thumb slips around it a lot, not comfortable. ... show more
