I hardly ever submit reviews here but this jacket is fantastic. easily the best winter coat I've owned EVER. seriously, and I've owned some good ones! what especially pleases me is that it is incredibly warm, even in winter winds (I walk everywhere) YET it doesn't make me look like I am puffed up or 3 times wider than I actually am. It's SLIMMING (and I ordered an XL just to be on the safe side because depending on how things are made L can be just a bit too tight for me. and yet it's comfortable; I can stretch, reach, turn and bend forward without feeling restrictive tightness. The cuffs stay in place and stay snug. There's no elastic at the waist/bottom- which was a selling point for me, but there's a secure pull cord to tighten the fit there when needed. When zipped up to the top it covers my neck right to my chin. The detatchable hood fastens snug closed right under my chin. the pockets are placed in practical places with the lower ones being just right to put my hands in them comfortably and the front pockets snap closed. It truly is water-resitant too. My only criticisms which are very minor for me are (a) the artifical fur on the edges of the hood is... it looks kind of cheap in comparison with every other visual of the coat, and (b) the zipper in front feels like it might not last as long as everything else. The connecting metal on the side where there zipper isn't when it's unzipped feels like it could give before any other part of the coat is anywhere near giving. But, it's not terrible, I appreciate where it ends (at the waistline, not at the bottom hem of the actual coat) because this reduces strain ON the zipper, and the front also snaps closed from top to bottom. all the stitching is thorough and secure. the faux-fleece lining is SO WARM and is removable. NOTE: one suggestion I'd like to add is- if you would ever consider ordering and donating a coat to a needy cause, I truly feel this would be an IDEAL choice. it's quality compared to affordability inspired me to order another to donate. ... show more

I bought this coat, after an extensive search, based on the reviews. It exceeded my expectations. I really hate the cold and wearing multiple layers, and this coat kept me warm with just a t-shirt under it, in temperatures ranging from 4 - 22 degrees. The liner is soft and warm, the faux fur around the hood fluffed out nice after unpacking, the zippers work fine, the phone pocket holds my iphone perfect and the other pockets function well too. Overall, it is a well made, warm, comfortable coat, well worth the money. The only "flaw' is that the diameter of the hole for the draw-string is way larger than the string itself, causing the string to slip out and not cinch up. ... show more

For the price, this is an adequate parka. The hood zips on and off, which I don’t really care about as long as it doesn’t unzip on me I don’t care.. I do like the outer pockets, including the flap ones with the snaps. I like the inside vest pocket. The fit was accurate. It’s a nice color and the fabric seems to be sturdy enough. Metal zipper pull with nylon zipper.. The one thing I would change if I could is the interior of the jacket. It has a kind of plush fake fur. I would prefer just smooth nylon but the parka is fine for what I need it for and it’s warm, but not too warm if that makes sense. Would also have liked the arm pocket and pen holder like an Air Force jacket.. but overall happy with purchase.. ... show more
