Bought this for myself for deer and duck hunting. Luckily was able to get it out for a deer hunt and footage came out awesome. I was a little worried with some of the reviews and the app not working for some people but I had 0 issues with it. For $220 and it comes with an extra battery and the barrel mount, that’s a hell of a deal! Recommend this to anyone who wants to film your hunts and have the guns view! ... show more

Mine came with two batteries. You can’t just charge the battery. It has to be in the camera to charge. MJor design flaw imo. I have to take the whole thing off the rail to charge. Wifi is automatically turned off when you power down the camera. So if your phone app won’t connect. Check the wifi settings on the camera. Kind of a PIA but minor issue. It also immediately starts to record as soon as it’s powered on. So if you weren’t intending to film be sure and stop the recording. Beyond that. It takes really good crisp clear video. It is pretty impressive. Slow Mo is cool but no sound. And even tho I only recorded bow shots and f 12-15 seconds. The video is 2-2.5 minutes long for some reason. It’s cool but I doubt I use that setting. I don’t regret the purchase but it definitely could use some tweaking. ... show more

Can't shut off the vibration notification! This makes this useless in the turkey blind or deer stand. And to add insult to injury the tactacam connect app isn't supported on newer versions of android like a Samsung s25 ultra or s24 etc

    • Kept giving File error
The camera was packaged great. Pulled it out and charged battery like it said. I bought a micro SD card from Staples and installed. I pushed the button o record to test it before using in the field. Made a recording about 30 seconds and hit the playback on camera. It played about 2 seconds and said "File Error". Then the whole camera locked up. Had to take battery out to reset. Tried a couple more time with same result. YouTubed it, and others were saying it might be the SD card. Went out and bought another one. Tried again. Same exact results. Recorded fine, and when I play it back it only shows about 2 to 3 seconds (File Error) and then locks everything up. Dang! I really wanted it to work. Had to return. ... show more
