Great size and holds a good amount of water. I went with a less conventional use as a fountain in my gecko enclosures and it's working great. The reservoir in the back is large enough to use ceramic aquarium filter media to help keep the water clean. Only downside is the opening in the back is pretty big. I had to use hardware cloth to block it off so my critters don't hide in it. ... show more

I needed a new water feature for my crested gecko. This fountain is perfect. I hot glued some burlap ribbon to the back so she can’t get in, put her little bamboo plants in the waterfall and it’s working great. The waterfall sound are a fun addition to her Jurassic park themed enclosure. Now she’ll have all the water she needs, no risk of drowning (they aren’t the smartest little lizards) and her home looks awesome UPDATE as of 2/23 (2 weeks after installing it) the pump is hardly working. There’s not gravel, dirt, or anything else in the reservoir, the pump is just dying. Disappointing. I’ll be ordering a replacement pump for this. ... show more

The fountain is much nicer than I expected. It is very sturdy and I feel comfortable with this sitting on this stand on my deck. It was extremely easy to assemble; I did not even read the instructions. The water flow has the right amount of sound, enough to be soothing but not overwhelming.
