Great size and holds a good amount of water. I went with a less conventional use as a fountain in my gecko enclosures and it's working great. The reservoir in the back is large enough to use ceramic aquarium filter media to help keep the water clean. Only downside is the opening in the back is pretty big. The media could not be loaded. I have meticulously looked for a fountain that doesn’t leak ,doesn’t splash and isn’t too loud but is still aesthetically pleasing. That is not an easy find but for me this fountain checked all the boxes. It’s huge for the price and sturdy. Huge I tell ya! The pump when positioned right is almost silent and it’s adjustable!! I carefully positioned a few black river rocks to block splashing and tone down the water sound. This little tweak is necessary with almost any fountain of this style. I bought a 11x11 square planter saucer that works perfectly as a base and it looks beautiful filled with decorative rocks. My only cons are aesthetics. It’s nearly black because it’s so dark grey and there is no access cover for the back. I love that 3 levels are light up but the lights are so bright and BLUE. They also point right at you and not so much at the fountain. I’m going to try putting some amber glass gems over the lights to see if I change the tone. I enjoyed this fountain for a while, ten months to be exact. The pump stopped working. I contacted customer support and asked if I could buy a replacement pump. I would have gotten a regular pump replacement if the lights weren't attached to it. However, the company that sells these does not sell replacement parts. They then advised me, mistakenly, that I was eligible for a replacement unit. After a couple e-mails I was told that this was no longer an option. Not the best customer service! For the price of this fountain I truly thought I would be able to enjoy it for years to come! ... show more

I ordered this fountain to display at my father's memorial service. An avid hiker and person who was passionate about nature, I wanted to include something that represented something he loved. The fountain was perfect. It was easy to assemble, the motor was quiet, and the trickling water sound was soothing. I needed a new water feature for my crested gecko. This fountain is perfect. I hot glued some burlap ribbon to the back so she can’t get in, put her little bamboo plants in the waterfall and it’s working great. The waterfall sound are a fun addition to her Jurassic park themed enclosure. Now she’ll have all the water she needs, no risk of drowning (they aren’t the smartest little lizards) and her home looks awesome UPDATE as of 2/23 (2 weeks after installing it) the pump is hardly working. There’s not gravel, dirt, or anything else in the reservoir, the pump is just dying. Disappointing. I’ll be ordering a replacement pump for this. ... show more
