Great idea, not-so-great execution. Cons: 1) It's not quite as good looking as the photos in the article description show - it's made out of plastic that looks like plastic (high quality or not!) including the little plant. 2) The light, described as a "warm glow" is actually so bright that it hurts the eyes if you look directly at it, so it's now been covered with one of the glass "rocks" to dim it down. 3) The light doesn't have its own on/off switch, so you've either got the whole item turned off or it's all turned on and illuminating everything around it. It is NOT suitable for putting one to sleep unless you can sleep in a lit room. 4) The soothing characteristic of a waterfall is usually the sound of the water. With this little waterfall, you can hear the pump at all times. So far, there's no sound of trickling water and, if there is, it's hidden by the sound of the pump. It does work with its USB cord, but as with many things these days, there's' no actual USB charger included in the package. Nor are there enough "rocks" to cover the bottom but they're easily acquired, and smaller ones would be good if you want the entire bottom to have "rocks" with water flowing over them. There were no instructions, either, which weren't necessary except for the part about how much water to add - it would have been nice to know, instead of getting it full by accident, and then cleaning the overspill off the kitchen counter. It has a battery compartment (which I have not tried since I have it plugged in), so you could use it in a spot that's distant from an outlet if you wanted to. All in all, not a great purchase. I gave it 3 stars because it DOES turn on, the water DOES pump, and the light DOES light up. It lost the other 2 stars due to the aesthetics (or lack thereof).

Easy to set up, great lighting, but water doesn’t flow well when round glass ball on top. You can hear water better without it too. Louder than expected, but with the right mat, or perhaps in some sand, inserting foam by pump, or something to muffle sound, may make it worthy of an office desktop. Nice for looks and light, just not so soothing a sound. Not crazy loud, just not quiet. Better than nothing, but I do tend to prefer quality over quantity. More of a novelty product, tho combined with some background music, may help set a tone for entertaining.

Holy crap the pump in this thing is obnoxious. I seriously don't think I'll ever run this thing, seriously. It's a constant whining that is significantly louder than the water sounds of the fountain itself. When I got this I imagined the soft sounds of water trickling, and putting it in a room to add a nice gentle glow and the calming sounds of water. NOPE. instead you get a constant, loud, sounding pump that honestly sounds like it may die at any moment. The rocks all come separate so you can arrange them how you want but honestly I've got very little good to say about this thing. NOTE: The image I took of the light is to show how darn blinding it really is, DO NOT LOOK INTO IT. I will not that it comes with a USB power cord that you can plug into it to use instead of batteries if you for some reason want a whiny dying pump fountain that blinds you if you look at the light in it. The ONLY reason this gets 2 stars is because from a functional standpoint, it does do the thing it's supposed to. The water DOES flow, regardless of how useless it is beyond that. Maybe it'd make a nice set piece if you never wanted to turn it on I guess? I'd advise against this product unless hearing an obnoxious pump all day won't bother you. I seriously can hear it from the other side of my house.

This little garden sits along side my printer on my desk, it is a good balance to remind you to breathe during the day. I really like the compact size as I don't have a lot of space on my desk or in my office - this fits perfectly
