My brother-in-law is heavily involved with family events; the kids are involved in scouting, the family regularly goes camping, and attends family events together. With his birthday coming up, I was looking for a gift that he could use with the family. The Tabletop Fire Pit Smores Maker Kit is it! The fire pit piece of the kit is small, light and portable; it probably only weighs 3 or 4 pounds. The pit uses isopropyl alcohol to burn, so it can be used indoors without worrying about smoke or odors. Note that this does not extend to the food you roast; that can burn and generate smoke, especially marshmallows! Two glass barriers complete the fire pit, so you are somewhat protected from the flame, and you have a convenient rest stop while holding a skewer over the flame. The 'Smores Maker' part of the kit includes 4 telescoping skewers. These skewers can be expanded to about 11", but they are somewhat flimsy. They will hold a marshmallow without a problem, but you'll want to be careful if you decide to roast a hot dog, or anything else that is much heavier than a marshmallow. The firepit works great in the middle of a table, either in the kitchen or on a coffee table while the family is gathered to watch a show. It's a fun activity for the kids (or kid-like adults), and will allow you to bring the fun of making smores into the house. Highly recommended! ... show more

This is a great tabletop fire pit. It’s very easy to set up and works well. It’s such a fun way to add atmosphere and with the included skewers, to make s’mores as well. ( This is nice for me because I have to eat gluten free so I can just make my own by buying gluten free graham crackers. ) I really like that you can use this both in and out of doors. I’m always looking for a way to add a cozy atmosphere so this is really perfect. This is a nice size, too. Depending on the time of year I will be using mine in different places. Right now it’s so hot where I live that using it indoors is actually better. In the Spring and Fall I will definitely be taking it outside. ... show more

This is cute! Easy and quick to setup. Small tabletop size- plenty of room to roast a few marshmallows at a time. I had a little smores table for a party with older kids and adults and this made the table so cute! It comes with skewers to roast 4 at a time. I like that the glass provides a little bit of burn prevention at least on the sides. We moved it to the outdoor dining table as the night went on and it still felt safe to use. ... show more

Highly Recommended! Very nice looking, and well-made indoor cooking fire pot. Easy to use, and especially fun on a rainy day to make roasted marshmallows or smores inside on the kitchen table! Great fun to use as a fancy end to a fondue party. IMHO This is not a toy, it used flammable liquid fuel so please keep it supervised while in use (lit), practice good fire safety, and use the recommended / correct type of fuel in these for both food and fire safety. ... show more

We used a this a couple weeks ago for smores and popcorn in our room and it was perfect. No excessive flames super easy to put together and take apart it stores very well and it has a nice a clean look while in use With the popcorn(stove top) I had to have my hand very close to the heat and I had not issue at all love this product! ... show more
