My several year old Sears portable table saw (by Ryobi) burned out its switch--as far as I could tell--so I ordered this part to replace it. It was easy to substitute for the original one and so far it has worked like it should. I am a great fan of the saw, which is one of the nicest portable table saws that I've seen--but I was pretty disappointed that the switch burned out leaving me with a dead saw, but fortunately it was easy to repair. This will work on a Ryobi bt3100 with some work. Theres a few other reviews mentioning the size being wrong which is true, but you can pop off the relay and its almost a perfect fit on the old switch. I had to file just a little bit of the plastic on the relay to get it to fit. Works perfect now in the old assembly. ... show more

    • Perfect replacement
Old switch became a safety issue because it would not turn off. This replacement switch looks exactly the same and was easy to install. Loosen four screws, remove four wires, and replace new switch the same way. Before I removed the four wires I labeled them to make sure I put them back the same.

Unlike the original, two of the wire terminals on the switch are slightly rotated, making it less bulky and easier to push the switch back into the small opening on the front of the saw. Good value, works like new.
