  • Top Quality, Precision, Accuracy and Ease of use
Extremely well built, quality item. Very well packaged. Very easy to assemble and calibrate. The measurements are precision and the magnifying glass lenses are the cat's meow for and old retired fella with failing eyesight. The miter stops are all accurate and the locks tight. Flip stop is tight and can be used on miter and bevel edges. With the micro adjustment you can shave cuts to absolute precision if you really need them that close. It is an investment but well worth it if you are looking for quality, accuracy, and precision in your woodwork. I should have found this miter many years ago. I researched many, I thought this one the very best and I love mine. ... show more

  • Greater than the sum of all parts!
I own an older Craftsman 10" table saw and while its in very nice condition for its age the fence and miter gauge were its weakest points. I had already replaced the fence system with a very nice unit so all that was needed was a new miter gauge. I had seen a video of the Goingmake miter gauge and was impressed with the design and quality of its materials so I decided to order one. It arrived packed in a double fitted box with every part packed in firm foam for protection. The assembly was very easy with all questions answered by reading the easy to understand supplied owners manual complete with photos. what impressed me was the quality of the finish and thoughtfulness of the design, at over 11 pounds the miter gauge takes control of any cut where the miter gauge is used. The fit in the slot on your table saw is easily adjusted using the supplied Allen wrench and once completed moves easily. Several cuts were made to check for accuracy and each were spot on. My old miter gauge was somewhat flexible which allowed for less that perfect cuts, not so with the Goingmake miter gauge, even when the gauge is extended to its full 36" length it still maintains its accuracy. In ending I recommend the Goingmake Miter Gauge, it functions as designed and while there are more and less expensive miter gauges on the market I find this gauge an exceptional value for the money. ... show more

  • Heavy Duty and Precisely Machined Tool
This miter gauge is a solid build and works perfectly right out of the box. Well packaged and arrived quickly. Simple to assemble and install using the instructions provided. This is a fantastic upgrade for my SawStop table saw, and I am also pleased with the price point. None of the other similar gauges will exceed its quality, features or price. There are many to choose from, but you will not be disappointed with this formerly unknown Goingmake brand. They are going to make woodworkers very happy. ... show more

  • Woodworkers love this, and now I know why
This is an amazing gauge for the money. Quality machining, accurate. Learning to use it took me a bit — there are so many knobs! But look at some of the videos on YouTube — woodworkers love this, and now I know why

  • The Harvey MG-36Pro Killer
I’m seriously impressed by this Miter Gauge. For context, I also own the Harvey MG-36 Pro, which is a beautiful and well-made tool. However, the Goingmake blows it out of the water — and not just by a little. The biggest flaw with the Harvey is its ruler system. The ruler on top of the fence is practically useless, and the extension lacks any measurement markings at all. Even worse, the existing ruler can be shifted with just a finger, making it extremely easy to lose your zero point. The Goingmake, on the other hand, has a fixed, clearly marked ruler on the main fence and the extension. It even includes a magnifying lens for precision and ease of use. Wherever you set your stop, that’s the exact measurement you get — and it’s dead-on accurate every time. At this point, my Harvey feels completely obsolete. ... show more

  • Poor quality control - not acceptable at this price point.
I was very excited by the reviews I saw on this unit. It offered all the features I was looking for at a premium price. Out of the box, it is a well made kit, with nice anodizing on the aluminum parts and no sharp edges. However, its use an actual miter gauge does not justify its premium price. Out of the box the unit wasn’t square to either the blade or the table. I accept that this can occur, but it should not on an item over $215. The biggest issue is that the sight glass for the miter stop sits proud of the slot and the stop will not slide all the way across. As a result you cannot use the miter extension or any of its function. I would chalk this up to a defective unit, but ordered a replacement and this one had the same issues. At this price point you can get an Incra 1000SE, Woodpecker, or the Hongdui MG21. These are well made products with a proven track record. For $215 I expect an accurate and well made tool. Not this hunk of garbage. ... show more

  • Well designed and crafted. Great price.
These guys did it again. Where to start well simply put it was very well thought out with its multi micro positioning options and heavy duty durable grade material. I have other well known brands miter saw gauges which have started to collect dust. Quite frankly these guy's went over the top in comparison. Nothing extra just the necessities (all of them) in my opinion and for my needs. I have been cutting the with table saw for over 15 years I have seen a bit in this small time frame and did consider others that came close in comparison but the price also drove my decision. I think it is a great deal. ... show more

  • Superb yet disappointing
I don’t know the last time I was so impressed but also disappointed by a product. I’ll start with the good. This is undoubtedly the nicest feeling miter gauge I have used. It is genuinely a delight to handle and all of the controls/adjustments are intuitive to use and just a few inches from the handle. As a whole, this feels like a luxurious product, and the miter gauge was perfectly calibrated for angled cuts out of the box. The length scale was also easy to read, adjust (the micro adjustment is phenomenally precise) and I like that it has both inch and millimeter markings. Based on these qualities, I think the miter gauge is expensive but worth it… However, my unit had some glaring issues and I ultimately returned the miter gauge due to two issues. (1) the T-track glide rail was appreciably bowed out of the box. When working with larger/heavier boards this wasn’t an issue. And when working with light/small pieces, I could add slight pressure to the handle to minimize the affects of bowing (importantly the bowing is exclusively in the up/down direction, not left/right). While the miter gauge remained usable, having to apply extra pressure to the handle for smooth tracking is annoying, and after messing up a couple of precision/critical cuts because of the bowing I lost confidence in the miter gauge. Edit: Before returning the miter gauge, I took a picture of the bow and measured a 0.09” deviation in height, which is enough variation to cause rough sliding/tracking in my experience. (2) The hex screw to adjust the front T-track bearing/washer was mildly stripped out of the box. Overall, this isn’t an issue, but it would presumably get worse with time/adjustments, and I don’t think this is a reasonable problem to have for such an expensive product. More importantly, I think the screw and bowing could be indicative of poor QA/QC checks by the manufacturer. Lastly, here are some minor gripes/observations about the gauge that aren’t ‘cons’ but worth noting: -The magnifying glass for the scale is useful but it can be difficult to read without bright overhead lighting due to shadowing. It also suffers from minor parallax but this is something you get use to. -I love the feel and solid construction of the miter gage, but the weight makes it difficult to use on small table saws. I briefly tried using this on a job site saw and found that there was so much unsupported weighting to the left of the handle. When placed on a Skill job site saw the miter gauge wanted to twist out of the T-track. This wasn’t an issue on my larger saw, but you may want to consider a smaller/lighter miter gauge for a portable or job site saws. -the end stop is robust, but it sits roughly an inch in front of the fence. If you are working with thin pieces of wood, they tend to slide between the end stop and fence. That said, you can easily fix this by adding a sacrificial board to the fence which reduces the effect gap. I don’t consider this a con because if the end stop was closer to the fence you wouldn’t be able to add a sacrificial board to the miter gauge. Overall, I’m inclined to say this is a fantastic miter gauge, but I’m disappointed by the bowed rail and stripped hex screw out of the box. At this price, the build quality exceeds my expectations but the QA/QC standards seem to be lacking. I’m not sure if the bowed rail is due to poor manufacturing tolerances or shipping, but the product arrived quickly and the box didn’t appear damaged. ... show more
